New FP+ Tiers At HS

I haven't really followed too closely since we don't plan to be back at WDW until at least 2020, but isn't Swirling Alien Saucers just a carnival type spin ride that happens to be toy story themed? Is that really going to have Tier 1 levels of demand?
It really isn’t a “spin” ride. Each saucer travels around switching between two circular tracks and the “swirl” has a squish the riders by centrifugal force effect. When we ride Mater’s we laugh the complete time.

Search for Mater’s Junkyard videos.

The Rivers of Navi ride is basically It's A Small World with an Avatar theme, yet regularly has waiting times in excess of 2 hours almost a year after it opened.

There's a huge demand for anything new.

It's nice that they took RnR out of the tier 1 spot -- makes it much easier to plan. I guess they are expecting all of TS land to be very popular at least until star wars land opens.

If I had to guess, when SWL opens Slinky and TSMM stays T1 and all SWL rides (except maybe Star Tours since it's so old?) also goes T1. AS2 gets dropped to T2. But again that's a guess, I have no special information! It makes sense to me though because then each "new" land has one ride as T2.

It’s best if this thread can stay on the topic of the Studios’ Tiering that begins on June 30th. Speculation of future Tiering for Studios is over on Rumors and News or TP Community.

There are 6 threads here on TPAS reporting the Tier Level changes and it would be nice to keep this thread open so a #7 doesn’t begin. Thanks. :-)

Star Tours will not be part of SWL.

To stay on topic, I'm thinking about going early next year and I will be happy that I can get a TSL ride (probably SDD) and RnR on the same day. I feel like once TSMM is back to it's normal self with all tracks and FP, it's line will go back down. I may be in the minority, but I'm also excited for Saucers, so if I can't get SDD I would gladly take a FP for that one.

What do people think will be the most popular ride out of slinky and alien (the one which will probably have the longest wait)?

Remind me again about tiers, do u have to pick something from tier 1?
Or can you do 3 tier 2

so if you are club level then you can start ordering fast passes ... has anyone that is staying club been able to get passes for opening day yet ???

I believe you found the CL Logistics thread. CL guests have been booking all 3 Tier 1s at Studios for their park day.

I think what happened with Pandora at the very first months of opening it’s a good indicator on what to expect from Toy Story Land. Long lines even for rope drop and 4+ hrs of standby lines.

Don't you have to be a CL guest AND pay $50/person/day to get to make early 90 day fp's and you get 3 extra ones?

We will probably pick Slinky Dog, Rock 'n Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror in December. We should be able to walk on Star Tours without much trouble during the day. Hopefully we can rope drop TSM!

Yes. We are within 90 days of TSL open, so CL guests who have chosen to use this feature should be able to book their extra FPs now.

Has anyone who is CL booked the extra fast passes yet? We decided not to for our March trip. (they announced it 2 days after our 60 day mark. So, I had already had the touring plan set) But, I am going to pay extra and book them for out Thanksgiving week one. I'm looking to see what the rest of the booking is like? Do you just add the regular 3 on at 60 days? And, what is the seating for the shows like? I know it comes with it.

Hi there, welcome to the DIS.

I would check out this post: FP FAQ ADDENDUM: Checking Availability; Park Hopping; Additional Tier 1 Booking; CL FP Trial Program

Then check out this thread: Club Level Fastpass+ Purchase (Logistics)

Those two places will get you started. :-)

This is also my FP strategy for my upcoming August trip. I originally thought about getting a FP for Star Tours instead and doing single rider line for RNRC, but lately I've been seeing the wait times hit truly outrageous numbers for RNRC. I don't want to risk not riding it without standing in line for over an hour. I'm thinking Star Tours' line would go by more quickly for a stand-by.
