New, Fifth Disney Park

I have read somewhere before that the land itslef would not be suited for a DisneySea type park at the current WDW location. I think the most likely thing is to have a villains park with lots and lots of thrill rides. I still think they have lots of work to do on AK and even MGM though.

After checking out the Disney Sea website I vote for this as a new addition!
Disney Sea has 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea AND Journey to the Center of the Earth.

check it out:

Personally, I would HATE to see WDW become a park like Six Flags... huge rollercoasters, drops, loops, etc. One of the things I love most about the current parks is that they are so unique-- wonderful theming, magical, family-oriented... just not having to appeal more to the teenage and thrill adults group. I don't know, maybe the idea of change in Disney's goal for the parks scares me, although I truly feel the beauty of the rides in WDW is that they are really fun without being "over the top" scary. That what seems to differentiate Disney World from other theme parks around the world. I hope they choose to make any new parks more themed and magical than thrilling.

DH and I would love to see a thrill park. We love everything about Disney, but for people that like thrill rides this would be an added bonus. There are a lot of people out there that like these rides. They even have Coaster Enthusiasts clubs. This is a huge niche market that Disney has just started to daple in. I think it would be a great addition to WDW.

IoA has great theming and family oriented rides. How much better those rides would be if they were with Disney characters!!

The building that is going on across from Disney Marketplace and Pleasure Island is Saratoga Springs Resort. A WDW time-share property.

I know others are great at this......right now I cannot think of anything I would love to see as a fifth park.. not enough coffee;) , but I still wish they would add more countries to Epcot.. that has been a wish of mine for a while... I do love World Showcase..

This was talked about on my Backstage tour. There is room for I believe 5 ot 6 more. The problem is money. Each country was built with funds either from the government of that particular country (to obviously try and increase tourism) or a corporate sponsor(s) from that country. There are than requirements about recruiting people to work at Disney. My understanding is they are constantly negoitating with someone.

As for a TokyoSea replica, I would be thrilled!! I have wanted to go there for over a year but am afraid to travel out of the country where I don't speak the language. My DD8 has seen the promo material with me and really wants to go. I sort of promised for High School graduation, so they better getting moving on putting it in FL:)

I believe that Disney has to be able to balance the demand from consumers (more thrill rides) with keeping the disney magic. I think that the idea of a villian themed park could do that exact thing.

Keep in mind that they are a business and have to stay ahead of the competition. Additional revenues will allow for enhance across the system.

Bring it on. More reasons to make Flordia my place of choice for vacations.

I would love a Sea World type park. Disney is so great with animals, let's see it expand. A thrill park would be nice. I'd love to see Disney versons of thrill rides.

Having two girls first, it never bothered me that there are hardly any charecters for boys ages 5-12. Yes little ones have the Pooh friends and toy story but MK is oriented to the princess magic.

How about thrill rides but with an adventure theme. Similiar to IOA in Universal. It could have glaciers, (Brother Bear). Pirates (Peter Pan). Jungle (Tarzan, lion King). Space (Buzz). Western (Woody). etc. This way you get thrill rides along with theming. All of this could incorporate charecter meals for boys just like all the princess charecter meals. The thrill rides will attract both older boys and girls. Shows could also go along with adventer theming. Similiar to Calif Adv. in Disney Land.

On an MK fireworks cruise we did 2 years ago the captain of our boat told us that a villains theme park would most likely be next. I just blew it off as CM rumors. But who knows?
