New FD Bounceback is out

So let me get this straight. If I fly down on September 7, spend the night on-site, and return on the 8th (Total cost <$300) I can save over $1300 for a family of 4 if our vacation falls within the window for the FD BB offer?

Does the room where I stay determine the room where I can book? Or can I stay in the lowliest value and book at the fanciest allowed deluxe resort, for example?
You can stay anywhere on property for that night and book any included resort

As long as your checkin date is in the BB offer's dates, yes. Checkout date doesn't matter, nor does the resort you are staying at when you book. You could stay in a value and book the BB offer for a deluxe.

You can change your FD reservation over to a RO reservation, but you can't stack discounts if that's what you mean.
Yes, that is what I was wondering. Hmm--have to compare The savings of FD to paying rack rate on the room. Something to consider.

Can you explain this further, because it does not sound right? How would you be able to book a value room but get the DDP?

You get quick service dining with a value, but you can upgrade it to table service dining by paying the difference in price.

Thanks, I knew about paying to upgrade, it's just that the way I read the post is that you can stay value but still get DDP free.

Yes, I was wondering if the package that you book using the bounce back discount is dependent upon which kind of resort you stay at when you receive the bounce back offer. It sounds like you are saying it doesn't matter. I can book at any available resort regardless of where I am staying when I make the booking.

This is crazy. A room for 3 adults and 2 kids is about $1600 cheaper using the Free Dining Bounceback and staying at a moderate for a week.

You get quick service DDP in a value for free. You get standard DDP for free with a moderate or deluxe stay. So both are free dining plans.

It's a great deal for a family! :thumbsup2

So if I wanted to arrive on 6/25 and leave on 7/2, would I be eligible for free dining? Some of my dates are during the window, but my check in date is not...

They were saying that you could stay in a value room now but book a deluxe resort using the bb offer.

I meant what Smitch said. I meant if you go down and stay one day at a value resort just so you could book a BB offer for next year (as was asked) that you can book the BB offer resort as any type, not just value because you're currently staying at a value. The type of dining plan received free during you BB stay is based on the resort you are staying at during that trip. Value = Quick service dining plan, Mod/Deluxe = Regular Disney dining plan. Of course you can pay extra to upgrade your free dining BB plan to the next plan. Hope that helps.

It is based on checkin date unfortunately. If you arrive and checkin on a date not in the offer, like 6/25, then no that wouldn't work to get FD BB.

With all the talk about values, are we certain that those are going to be available to book with the bounce back only saying moderate/ deluxe?

It doesn't matter what resort you are staying at when you make your bounceback booking. You can make your bounceback stay at any level resort.

What you would probably want to do is book a split stay then. Book the bounceback portion starting with the date that is eligible for the bounceback. Book a separate stay for the dates before that. That would be room only, or you could pay for the dining plan for that part. But the free dining would only be offered for the second reservation, the bounceback portion.

The bounce back print offer never says anything about values, and they have always been available to book with the offer. I would assume that is also the case this time, so take that as you may until we hear that someone has done it. I personally believe that they are, I'd be very surprised it they were not part of the offer.

isn't the BB offer 3 night minimum stay. PP had leaving 7/2, so only 2 nights (6/30 & 7/1) would be eligible for FD?
