New Fantasyland review.

I will agree somewhat about the Little Mermaid ride. However, I wasn't expecting much from it. When they launched it at DL the Disney Channel ran promos constantly, and seemed it was pretty much a rehash of existing stuff. It probably won't be a must for us either. I really did like the queue for the ride though. Great detail. We didn't get to do the Ariel M&G, so that'll be for next time.

However, I actually teared up, more than once, going into BOG and at ETwB. (Full disclosure: I am a HUGE Beauty and the Beast fan. It is one of my favorite movies.) We were able to eat at BOG on Saturday, and it did not disappoint. My picky DD even found something she enjoyed, and we will be back.

I was very impressed with the themeing over all, but in particular with areas themed to BatB. I really enjoyed just walking around and taking in all the scenery.

Okay, Pixie Princess, you just have to elaborate more about your meal! What was your entree and what dessert did you pick? I am very excited to have an ADR there on Nov 28. I would like to know if anyone had the scallops in puff pastry?

We are a group of 3 sisters, late 50's. I am thinking that the Enchanted Tales with Belle won't be worth the wait for us. Is this mostly for young children? It would be cool to see the enchanted wardrobe, though....Lines will be huge!

FLE open today. I've had my LeFou's Brew, ridden Ariel's ride, bought a light-up goblet, and am now waiting for Enchanted Tales w/ Belle. Wish I would've known sooner that it was open bc we ate lunch @ Tortuga Tavern & have ADR @ CRT.

I ate dinner at BOG last week and had the suggested shrimp and scallops in puff pastry entree. Fabulous!! It had such wonderful flavor and was so tender and tasty. The waitress said it was their signature dish and I'm glad she steered me towards it. I had the chocolate cream puff for dessert. Just as amazing!!

Oh,wow, that is music to my ears":rockband:I can hardly wait to see the inside of BOG. And I'll be dining on the scallops!

When we were there they were serving lunch. I'm waitlisted for a TiW event there on the 18th so fingers crossed! I haven't been able to get a reservation for Thanksgiving week yet. I really want to try that scallops puff pastry too.

The lunch was very good. I got the turkey sandwich. It was a served warm and the turkey was carved not sliced. My DD got the ham sandwich- also a carved meat. She wasn't interested in the cheese or the dressing that comes on it, and was easily able to remove those options on the ordering kiosk. She doesn't like french fries so she got green beans as a side. They were cooked with onions and red bell pepper. So good! She didn't care for them of course. I love the way it id served as well. They bring it on rolling carts like in the movie. Very cool. It'll be interesting to see how well that goes when the whole place is filled with people.

All the desserts looked so good. I went with the gluten free, sugar free lemon custard pastry, and my DD got a lemon meringue filled cupcake. Both were very good.

I wouldn't say the Enchanted Tales with Belle is necessarily just for kids. The effects and animatronics are pretty cool. And when we went through they chose adults to for several roles in the tale. The people that they picked, the Beast in particular, were really into it so it made the show good.

Are we getting Dumbo back AND the Barnstormer? I think the answer is yes as I saw dumbo's location back where Mickey's house is....

It not called barnstormer anymore, but yes it's there and there are two dumbo rides side by side.

Um, where Mickey's house WAS.......I sure hope I'm not the one having to deliver you that news :(

Are these new attractions open to general public already? or Nov 19?

Please let me know. going next week.

We toured New Fantasyland on the DVC preview last Sunday morning.

Be our Guest was not open for dining (and I wish it had been!) but in a way it was good because you got a completely different feeling of the grandeur of the ballroom with the huge snowy windows and the creepy, dark west wing with the Beast portrait and rose when there were no crowd noises or motion. It is awesome. I expect the gargoyles outside to be in millions of people's photos!

Enchanted Tales with Belle was cute, but I agree with the other posters that the lines are going to be unbelievable. I got to be Maurice! It is a very cute show but not one I'm going to wait on a line for or even do on every visit. We were lucky to see it on the preview, because I got a picture of Belle's cottage without hordes of people in the queue.

Gaston's Tavern was cute...the "village" is actually just Gaston's Tavern, a gift shop, and toilets. We opted out of LeFou's brew...wasn't about to drop ten dollars on it until I tasted it first. The souvenir mugs are plastic...ymmv on whether it's a value or not.

The Beast's castle and Prince Eric's castle environs were very well done. I agree the Ariel ride was unremarkable. At least at the end of the Nemo ride you were viewing the characters with live sharks and fish. The queue area was gorgeous, though. I see it as a nice place to sit down for a couple minutes and rest in air-conditioned comfort on a hot day. Would NOT wait for this ride longer than 15 minutes (and only because I think the queue area is really cool!)

I also agree with PPs that the Seven Dwarves mine ride is desperately needed here and will be a really welcome addition to Fantasyland.

Is the picture of the castle you posted a picture of Eric's or Beasts castle?

Enchanted Tales was very cute. My DD did not participate bc she was holding out for the part of Belle, lol. The play was very cute & DD jumped in at the end when all the enchanted objects came to life. Everyone involved took a pic w Belle & got a bookmark & photopasses were given to all. There was very little wait time. The castle itself was beautiful. Lots of detail in it & the cottage. Also, Gaston played his character very well.

Beast's Castle.

Eric's Castle has distinctive orange tile roofs.

I was a salt shaker in Enchanted Tales :rotfl: There were just as many kids with parts as kids.
It was fun.............but I can imagine the lines when it is open all the time

We went today.

The line for storytime with belle took forever. sign said 20 minutes, but we waited over an hour. it was a cute show but not worth that kind of wait time.

BOG was great for lunch, especially the braised pork dish. The technology they are using to know which table to bring the food to is really cool. Is that RFID?

Yes.

Does BOG open every day now? what about the mermaid ride, open every hour?

went last night right after wishes, they let me in without AP.
No lines at all. I asked for LeFou's Brew in normal cup as I didn't want to carry it around all night. I dumped it as I don't like frozen drinks much. The foam was amazing though and had it not been frozen I'd have liked it.

btw. the freezing air temperature in general didn't help either.

While I thought both attractions are cute, they are not spectacular.
