New Express Transportation: $19/day or $29/week-SERVICE ENDING AUGUST 23RD 2017

I'm still a bit confused on the end of night issue. I read that they'll run one bus past closing time- so would that mean you can get an ET bus past closing time of the park you're in, but the only busses that will be available for you to take would ones going to parks that have not yet reached their own closing times? Also, regarding EMH- if AK closes at 9:30 and I'm going to the 8:45 RoL show, once that show is over, would there be no ET bus option to Epcot, since Epcot has EMH that night from 9 to 11? Thanks!

It's one bus after closing to another open park. EMH do not count as the park being open for ET, at this time. So if Epcot closes at 9 pm, that's the closing time, and no ET busses will run to Epcot after 9 pm, even if there are evening EMH. At least that is how it has been... Disney can change it.

You doubt yourself but you have it right.
No buses TO any park after it's closed. Parks that have closed do have buses depart to OPEN parks
and
No buses TO any park operating in EMH

If we purchase the express for the week, is there a DVC discount? Oops, I see it is for hoppers. I just wanted express to parks LOL
No discounts. Anyone can buy it if they have hoppers or AP (any AP)

You need to get there before the party starts.
Their check in system doesn't check for a party ticket, only a park hopper or AP
 

Are you saying that when you hire an uber or Lyft, the tip is included in the price they quote?
No, some people started talking about Minnie Vans here in this thread. That particular comment was referring to them, not Uber/Lyft.
 
Disney is using the Lyft app to book Minnie van rides. I just ran a fare estimate for Lyft from YC to GF, and it quoted $7-$12 for up to 3 pax or $12-$19 for up to 6 pax.

My understanding of the flow was that the Minnie vans come in close to a Lyft/uber when you add the tip to the Lyft/uber cost that was quoted. That's why this comment:

didn't make sense to me. The original tip comment was directed to the Lyft cost, and I was curious if the Lyft quotes included the tip.

Lyft does not include tip in their prices. But tip is typically expected, similar to how you expect to tip at a restaurant.
Minnie Vans price is a flat price and you don't add a tip to it

Do you know if you have to use the app? Will there be some just waiting like taxis?
 
Ok beating dead horse here.....but the rain thing really bothers me. I wrote to disney again.

The Express Transportation runs the same as any of our motor coaches. They are not stopped because of rain, unless there are specific weather, or hazardous conditions. If there were to be a hurricane, for example, non of the motor coaches would be running. I am not sure where you are hearing the other information, but if it is not an official Disney website, or Disney official, we are not able to verify any of their information. Our motor coaches will only be stopped if the conditions are dangerous to our guests, or cast members.





We have gotten some really good feedback from our guests about this service, and really hope you will take advantage of it. It can make your park hopping a much more pleasant, and magical journey.

So all those reports of the service stopping, must not be true, after all this is not an official disney website. As far as I remember, when people were turned away from the express bus, they were then indeed able to use the standard buses.

You aren't asking the right question.
The buses do run. That's not the problem.
The CM that are required to be there to escort you aren't able to be there. No escort, no guest can use the service.
Same result but different issue.
So you haven't asked the right question.
Or you haven't asked the right people
Because we all know that GS at Disney doesn't always provide the right answer even when asked the right question.

And another tidbit, it's a waste of time to tell them "I heard on DisBoards" or even just "a message board". They won't care. That's like saying I heard gossip. I think of message boards like fight club. First rule of fight club is you don't talk about fight club. First rule of message boards, don't tell someone you heard it on a message board.

Just so my understanding is correct: there is no bus at the top of the hour if the destination park has closed for regular hours, correct? So there's no DHS->EP bus at 9:00 since EP closed at 9?
