Yes, you can refill them at Picabu (formerly called Tubbi's.) :)

Well, I dit it!
I cancelled my 2 rooms at POP...then changed my res from the Swan to the DOLPHIN!!
Yeah...thanks everyone....alot of the info I read here surely helped! Just the location alone, especially with a 2 yr old in a stroller! Just couldnt hand over the money to those monorail resorts again:(
So instead of ME...what do most of you use for transportation to and from MCO?
Thanks again!

We loved using Southern Elegance towncar service. They were wonderful! :dance3:

Thanks! Looks like tou take the same vacation time in June that we do!
We did the same dates 6/26- 7/3 in 2003 when we got married, and the days fall on the same days again next year...so June 28, our anniversary will be on Saturday again! Except....it is so much more fun sharing this day with our miracle baby!!!
So...what kind of view am I l@@king at with Standard...any chance of ground floor patio...or balcony??
Thanks:)

Best way to explain to DH no food court and no refillable mugs? :)

I usually try words with my DH. . .Like this. . ."Oh honey, guess what, the Swan has no food court or refillable mugs. . ."

:) :) :)

:) lol...Well he looked up the Dolphin online at work.....he actually admitted he loiked what he saw and was excited!! He is a deluxe guy...just worried we will spend the kind of money we did going back when we got married...Ouch!!

I did just read there are refillable mugs!! And a cafeteria...close enough...and offers 20% with AAA....Every time I come up with an idea for travel..(i know he will say yes) but I make up this big proposal...hee hee..and allow him to say yes..:)

I've been driving myself crazy because I couldn't decide if I should do a mod with DDP or stay at the Swan with heavenly beds in a great location. ( I'm going to babble on a little bit here!!) At 2 in the morning I had a brainstorm. I figured out the cost of the mod for 10 nights and compared it to my price for the SWan. The mod was going to be more than $400 more. The DDP would cost me $2200, so I could spend $2600 on food and still break even staying at the Swan. So I ( well, my family too) can have great food and a great room and a great location. I am sssoooooooo psyched. The best part is that I feel really relaxed now. I am looking at menus and changing ADR's to things that we would enjoy. Thanks for all your great info...

Hi, I thought I read a list of the restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin that gave a 20% discount with a AAA card. I can't find it... Does anyone know what they are??? Thanks

From what I understand, its the restaurants owned by Starwood, not a chain, asin Shula's....

The only two I am aware of that do not do AAA 20% are Shula's and Blue Zoo. If there are others in addition to those two, somebody will correct.

Sorry if I'm asking a question that has been asked recently, I checked and couldn't find this one...

If there anywhere at the Swan where you can print your boarding passes the day before you leave, from the Delta website? I don't mind paying for it.

I think 20% off is pretty good, I will take it...and I'd rather eat at on of WDW resort restaurants than Shulas .....besides I think you can accumulate SPG points as well:)

Oh my god, I am sooooo excited I read this thread.

I have been going back and forth in my mind once I realized that I could do S/D with AAA in June for around the same price as AKL in value season. One of the things holding me back was that I had a DDE card for 20% off sit down meals and thought that would go to waste at S/D restaurants, but now I read I can use my AAA card for 20%.

Can you guys give me some general advice as far as which resort would be better for us, we are a family of five and taking 2 extra teens along. Is it really convienent to walk to Epcot area restaurants? The quote I received for AAA was $179.50 per night plus tax. Are there any other charges for parking or resort fee? I also have an AP, is that rate cheaper?

Should I call and book directly through s/d or cro?

Sorry for all of the questions.

Thanks

Hi PolyAddict....I have responded to one of your threads, so I am familiar w/your situation!! :)
Dont know why I never considered this either....I'd try S/D than CRO....great rates are still available I think for June...the research I have done...you can walk to Epcot, Boardwalk...you are close to the YC/BC...you can take a boat to MGM...and hop on the monorail at Epcot to go to MK......

Although no food court, there is a 24 hr cafeteria....many amenities..and you can probably get 2 standard rooms here without breaking the bank like with 2 rooms at Poly...also its a Starwood hotel, one of their reps told me no charge for rollaway if for child...go to SPG.com and sign up to be a preferred member...free...you may get an upgrade upon check in:)

Hey!!!! Yes, it's crazy me again!!!! Did you pick S or D?

First I went with S..then after more research chose D...rooms are a bit larger, however have dbl instead of Q...but you can have 5 ppl per room instead of 4!
Also the 24 hr cafeteria is located in the D...it appeared more couples preferred Swan and a bit more upscale..what i have read....
I think its a great value for the money and great location!

DisneyBride - we use *********** Tours for transportation to/from MCO. They give you a 30 minute grocery stop, although I think by now most transportation services are probably doing this now. We've used them at least a dozen times, check out their web site.:)
