Do you think there will ever be any new DVC resorts built outside of WDW? I'd like to see one in the Northeast somewhere...maybe Cape Cod. I wonder if this could ever happen.

As much as I would love to see it, I doubt it will happen. The sales for VB and HH were just too slow to justify more off-site resorts.

It is fun to speculate where would be a good place though.
Although I gave up skiing when I got married, I think a mountain resort would be nice.

I don't think you'll see any DVC resorts outside of WDW again. It took (is taking) a long, long time to sell out Hilton Head and VB.

One of the reasons against it is that Disney gets a premium for their on-site DVC resorts...and they have no competition. In other locations, they are just another timeshare and would have to financially compete with the other time shares out there.

Just my opinion, but no, I don't see any other DVC resorts outside of WDW.

Very doubtful. I'm not even sure we'll see another one in WDW.

I think it is pretty doubtful too unless they add one at one of the other parks, like Paris or Tokyo.

Personally, regardless of whether many think it is doubtful or past selling trends at HH and Vero, I would like to see another offsite resort, or better point value for non-DVC alternatives. The variety is wonderful.

Never say never. I'd love to see a DVC resort someplace that isn't so hot in the summer, and as a homesick Massachusetts girl, Cape Cod would be my first choice too. But really, anywhere that stays below 90 degrees in the summer would be an improvement. I dream of the day DVC considers another resort and goes up North to build it.

LOL, Nick! Why don't we just do an exchange? I'll let someone live in my new log lodge for the winter, and I'll go somewhere warm!!:jester:

There would need to be a draw to attract people in the winter as well, to balance out demand. Something like the attractions of Washington D.C. or New York City. Maybe Niagra Falls. Even skiing is pretty seasonal, it might need to be more than that. Just a thought.

WE have skiing, snow mobiling, ice fishing, and THE MALL OF AMERICA!:p
