New DVC Members!!!!!

We just bought our 200 pts. at SSR. Whoo whooo! I can't believe we took this long to get involved in DVC. For Heaven's sake, my husband is a castmember and we just found out about this program! We've owned a timeshare week on Florida's Gulf coast for years, but the flexibility of DVC is just what we need. Aaaaand, we live in Orlando, so we ought to be able to enjoy several long weekends throughout the year, if we watch our points.

Question, though: I've seen posts on this board about DVC jackets, and other assorted DVC "stuff." Is this something that is purchased somewhere, is it a bonus for signing up with certain home resorts, or what?

Each of the DVC resorts have a few things for sale in their stores. They had some nice windbreaker jackets, golf shirts, and tee shirts at the WL when we were there last December. They don't have a lot of merchandise for DVC.

You guys are one of the reasons I was so anxious to buy into DVC. The "idea" itself sounded wonderful, especially the flexibility it offers. But the fact that there exists a board like this, with such warm and welcome responses is extraordinary! Thank you for welcoming us into your "family." Welcome Home. We don't have jackets but we have hats, shirts, luggage tags, license plates, backpacks, tote bags and DVC prints. Sounds amost like a DVC e-bay at my house.
