DF couldn't get into the chat room for our Sorority chat! She had the "blue Screen" effect! LOL! Help her, please!

Link to chat room is there... the dis main chat room. I created a private chat room... S/D House. We could see her, she could not find anywhere to type for her posts... so she wandered from room to room~ lost, as it were!

Can't recreate the problem now after the fact. I'll have to hold her hand the next time. ;)

Sorry I missed you guys.....By the time I got to sit down at the computer it was around 10:45. I trust your decisions!!!

I just did the magical gatherings one and I see Denise is there but not in that chat room.

Some of those events sound like a total blast - the Tea Party, the Fireworks cruise, etc. Cinderellas is a take or leave - we did it last time so it isn't a heartbreaker but still is neat.

What is the difference between the Magical Fireworks Voyage and the Wishes Fireworks Denise?

Well, broke down and bought my camera. Never got back in stock in the one store I was going to purchase it at & Best Buy just UPPED the price $100 so I bought one on eBay. Crossing my fingers all goes well - seller had excellent feedback and said it was just such a bulky camera (I know that is what i don't really like about the one at work - but I love the CD burning capability.) Ended up at $413 including insured shipping and a 128mb USB memory stick (know what I mean?). I've wanted one of those memory sticks for my computer since last fall so that was a nice bonus. Should arrive by sat. as its coming Priority.

DF~ we could hear you frantically opening and closing doors in the various chat rooms and some of us were following you. It was a bit of hoot with the comings and goings in trying to "find" you. Of course, it wasn't a sorority hazing stunt -- we love our inspirational leader! :grouphug:

LOL....:Rotfl: I could hear the doors SLAMMING too!! :hyper: It was like a bad Peter Sellers movie, (Me=Pink Panther!)...or some sorry game of hide-n-seek! I could also SEE you, as you moved from room to room...but could not FIND my VOICE! So...frustrating, a true lesson in futility! I'm so thankful LOU showed up (he's DEFINITELY the WIZARD behind the curtain...in the castle of OZ) and offered to "HOLD MY HAND" during the next outing!! :teeth: The whole thing is a HOOT...and gave me a great LAUGH! :p

Hey...We're BUSY...BUSY...BUSY here too!! Spring-Cleaning, and wondering WHERE we got all this STUFF?!? I mean...seriously?!? More than our closets can hold! (LOL). I just never recall this many things coming into the house! It must happen while we're away, the *STUFF* fairies come and fill the closets, etc. Yea...I'm losing it here. I need to slow down and HYDRATE! :drinking:

#1hockeymom~HEY!!! No rushing Deb, I NEED the time! (LOL). I get "nervous" as this time of year counts-down...with DD's BD next weekend, her Registration is due June 1 ($650.00...each year! what's this FOR exactly, Mouseteacher?!? :D ) and then tuition for her final year of HS. :( Wow...we've been paying tuition since K-Garten...our 13th year! Now, we won't have such a hard time with college...:teeth: as we're USED to this stuff.

Hope you are all enjoying the weekend, whatever you are doing. Back to the GRIND!!

DS has to construct a 3-D edible eyeball for a 6th grade science project. Any and all ideas for materials, etc. would be greatly appreciated!

Congrats Madge on your one week mark. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

DF~ Registration fee? ;) In my world = more income for the budget!

Gail~ How about marshmallows stuck together to form a ball with some type of candy for the iris. I always shuddered when my DSs had these types of projects since I am so craft-challenged! :p

madge~ how exciting - I usually can't sleep the week before my trips - just like when I was a child waiting for Christmas morning.

Today is my dad's 83rd birthday - he is such a wonderful man and he raised 3 super kids (if I do say so myself). We will all be celebrating together today at my DBro's house.

Happy birthday to your dad!!!!! Sounds like another thing we have in common. My mom will be 82 and both IL's will be 85 in the upcoming months.

We are planning to use marshmallows as part of the project. The main portion is going to be a peeled potato....and we've assembled sour patch straws, Listerine pocket pack squares, chocolate chips and gummy lifesavers as other parts. Hey - it's edible....but the parts sure don't go together!

I know what you both mean about getting excited. We're all like that in this house. In fact, the kids are already planning how they'll make it through the night before we leave for Disney. They're both going to hang out in DS room and watch dvd's until they fall asleep. :D

Paras4ri-
I always love the edible eyeballs made out of hard boiled eggs! You cut them in half, however since the sclera will be yellowed, you must say that your "specimen" had jaundice from liver failure!!! Good luck!

 hello, everyone - where has everyone been? We were on p. 3  !!

Morning all!

Bumping us up to page 1!

Hey I only have 576 days until I go back home to the Dolphin!!!

Just thought I'd share! (For now I'll klive vicariously through you
all!!!):teeth:

Busy around here!~Sorry, with the early BD celebration/party coming up so quickly this weekend, and work/life...I've been consumed! (LOL). There are more than "50" kids attending this party...so it's a DOOZY! :hyper: Thank goodness they are older, and do not have to be entertained! I recall all the parties over the years, and there were "stages" in there...where we had to monitor parties, entertain with games and other strategies, etc. Now, some catering, and a pool/Cabana/lights/music...and they are good to go! We also bought one of those Maytag skybox beverage dispensers for the Poolhouse, with the stand(storage unit). This will prove to be very popular...and offer cold bevs at the touch of a button! One less thing we have to do....
bestmaytaghac_1788_3009460

Of course, ours will have the "Niners" on the panels!

I'm beginning to "plan" more things for our summer trip. May surprise DH with the FULL Richard Petty Driving experience. He LOVES Nascar, and has mentioned this place once or twice. He would be psyched if I reserved it for him! So...I'm in the process of doing exactly that. I'm not sure if he would want the three-day, or the 14-lap. I'll have to do more research. Anyone here ever do this?

We are also going to TANDEM on the Parasailing at the CR. We ALMOST did this last summer, while staying at this resort...but were just too busy. That, and the fact DD thinks we'll break away off the line and be flying miles across the state until we land in a remote swamp filled with gators!!
:p She will not do this with me...even though I begged and bribed! LOL...she simply has more sense that we do!! :teeth: She won't bungee either...something DH & I nearly did off of a bridge, ("I will if you will...okay, I will...great!...I will too!" etc.), if not for her presence and good-sense...we may have! (but that's another story!) ::yes:: She's our little Jiminy Cricket!!

I've reserved the Segways for both of us...as DD has already done this (Castaway Cay) and was not overwhelmed by the experience. DH & I thought it was hysterical...and enjoyed all the "wackiness" of the maneuvers, etc. I'll have to wear some kind of depends or something, and maybe full padding too!

madge~CALL STARWOOD TODAY!! ;)

sarahsmom73~That's less time than you think! It'll be here in a blink...and gives you LOTS of time to PLAN, and maybe slip an impromptu trip in there somehow!! :goodvibes

Mouseteacher~Wow...everyone MUST be BUSY too!! How many more days of school do you have? This year has breezed past too quickly. I just filled out the papers for DD's registration, and paid the annual fees associated with this form (yes, DH says it's more for the school...which is a great thing!). Actually, we always feel indebted to the school, as we feel DD receives far more than we ever pay for! ;)
Catholic schools do SO much, with SO little!

I too...get so excited about leaving for WDW, that I can not sleep! It's the impending THRILL of the adventure...the travel, etc. FUN!!! :hyper:
We are like children every time, and experience "NEW" butterflies with every trip. :)

Hope your DF had a wonderful BD! :bday:

paras4ri~Sounds like DS's eyeball will be edible (if NOT all yummy!!), and very interesting. Try to snap a pic. and post, so we can see how it all goes together!

Enjoy the day! :sunny:

Hi to all,

Last days of school now in progress. I have been to non stop concerts and awards assemblies. That's a really GOOD problem to have...too many awards, LOL:tongue: !

I am now planning our intended park activity sequence. Although, we plan to really relax and not make any concrete plans. Our arrival day has a couple of enticing choices to offer and I'd like to seek opinions from you experts. Keep in mind we will be arriving after an 18 hr. drive so we can't do anything too strenuous.

That day, MK is open until 11pm. We could mosey over there and just do an evening thing (without paying ofr an E nt. ticket!) see Wishes and just hang out. Or we could go over to MGM and see the second showing of Fantasmic (there are two shows that day). We have never seen it before. I'm kind of leaning toward Fantasmic but both options sound wonderful.

I really want to "set the tone" for the trip. Of course, if everyone is wiped out, we will just swim at the Grotto pool. I just know I will be going on adreniline after finally getting back to the Magic::yes::
