The eyeball is complete and the picture has been taken! :teeth:

Dear Mouseteacher - our prayers for you and your family...your bil has an extra angel standing beside him.

DF - that party sounds awesome - i am sure they will appreciate all that you arrange- your daughter is sure to have the most special graduation party and you will reap the benefits from doing such a fine job raising her. Has she made a final decision as to her college yet?

Our bridal shower was a wonderful success- Becca received so many wonderful things and it is great when families and friends can be together all at one time!!! On Sunday Katie graduated from college and we were extremely proud parents watching her receive her diploma. Life has been very good to us all. Imagine, our last one to graduate... think we're aging , slightly, here!!! LOL
hoping that you all have a wonderful week's end- and to all of your traveling , a safe journey.

Caroline :teacher:

madge~hope it's all PERFECT now! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I'll do my BEST to help! :goodvibes

Oh, Gail...~You KNOW how to work the suspense!!! :hyper: So??? How does it look? Realistic? Yummy? WILD & CRAZY!! Is DS happy and satisfied with the result? Oh...please post the pic, and let the FUN BEGIN!!! :earseek:
:jumping1: LOL.....

Oh, sweet Caroline! Remember...."YOU'RE as YOUNG as you POST!!! And, take it from me...you POST very "YOUNG!"
Thanks for all the kind words about DD's party. :goodvibes
She is narrowing down her FAVS with respect to College. She is still undecided...but, she has another year left. She plans to apply for Early accp. this fall, (non-binding schools), and will have a better perspective by then. Argh...I am not looking forward to the empty~nest. Time to have another baby!! (:rotfl:) Thought that would give all of you a good LAUGH!! :teeth:

DD did EA at the three colleges she applied to. That was a great way to go! She had acceptances when many of her classmates were still submitting applications! Took a lot of pressure and worry out of the equation. Good luck to you and her - it's such an exciting time! :jumping1:

LOL! You'll have to wait a bit for the picture, I'm one of those rare birds that still uses a camera with film! There's lots of events coming up in the next few weeks......school concert, sports, 6th grade graduation, DIS meet in Boston.....it won't take long to finish the roll!

For those who can't wait for the details, it really looks realistic. The green lifesaver does the trick, the darn thing looks like it's staring at you! :earseek:

Congrats Caroline on all the wonderful things happening in your family! :D

Hugs to you Mouseteacher. I am very sorry for the hard time your family is having...

Happy Friday to everyone!

Who leaves next?

is it Denise.....or is it meeeeee? :teeth:

it's the last day of school....soon my oldest will be a freshman
::sniff, sniff::::

congrats to all the graduates this spring!

Does anyone know when 2005 rates will be available? I'm interested in a studio at the Swan with the teacher rate, but haven't had any luck finding info.

Thanks,
Pam

What have ya'll been up to. I'm in summer session and loving it! :)

ROB MAX~I'll bet your ears were burning, as I was JUST talking about you, and WONDERING "WHAT" you were up to?! Great to hear from you. ::yes:: Any travel plans for the summer?

bballmom56~Thanks for the reinforcing words, and good luck wishes  ~ I believe she will be able to "relax" if she has an early JUMP on things. I can not understand waiting until late spring to decide (too late for my taste) which school to attend. She wants to enjoy her senior year...and this seems to be the best route (EA) to this plan! She attended the graduation last eve for many of her friends. Some are going to Brown, Princeton, Boston, USC & Pepperdine, and many UC's. A couple are heading to Santa Monica City College...for LOCATION alone!! (LOL). The excitement is contagious, and she's already looking ahead.
;)

paras4ri ~My DM is the same!! She's a "traditional Pilgrim" from Mass!! She is a Colonist...and detests anything "NEW~FANGLED!" So, she is NOT a fan of the WWW...or the technology super-highway! She uses a CAM too, and keeps asking me to take some "snaps" of my yard, DD, etc., with a "throw-away" cam and send her the pics! LOL...she's not into the DIGITAL thing. :teeth: She still prefers to hang her clothing out on the line to dry. Thank goodness she leaves her bonnet inside while she works....(LOL). She's the BEST!! (& gets a kick out of my Ribbing!).

zanesmama~Hello, Pam. Usually these rates are posted & available in the late summer/early fall...(this August, or September). Last summer, they were actually available earlier. So, keep calling the resort directly and ask!

madge~And those H.S. years fly faster than all the others...just ask Mouseteacher! I still can not believe our DD will be a SENIOR!

mouseteacher~I've been praying, and keeping you in my thoughts. I know you will make everything special for your DS's graduation, even in the midst of all this "LIFE" happening (LIFE is what always happens, when we are busy making OTHER plans!). Hang~in there. This too shall pass.

DF- Brown University is practically in my backyard! I think a campus visit is in order. :D

Big night here - parent orientation at the junior high!

DF - Be proud of me!!! I read half of the direction book to my Mavica CCD500 tonite!!!! Battery is charging and hopefully I will be ready to go when I chaperone a field trip tomorrow to a boat ride on the Mississippi. This is my first field trip event and DS is almost 20!!! DD wants me to go, but all DS said was - boy am I glad you never chaperoned my stuff!!! Gee Thanks!!!

I did the gutsy thing and bought the Mavica on eBay - made sure the seller had good feedback. It came from California, and her english typing was not the greatest, but camera is in perfect order. Ended up at $413 with the shipping. Took a few shots the other night without the directions and they turned out fantastic. Now after reading some directions, I figured out how to turn off the date, change the flash to auto, etc. It was missing directions (which I downloaded at Sony) and the USB cord (the one hanging off the front of my PC works fine!) so it was basically turn on and go.

This camera should be ready to roll for DISNEY!!!! (Cross your fingers!!!)

NOW!!!!

for a question.....

1. I know we have soap, hand-lotion & shampoo at the Swan (right?- hope I remember correctly!). Anyone remember what they supplied at the Royal Pacific? (I'll ask on Univ Boards too). We only stayed one nite last time and my memory fails me.

I purchased a new 'Everything Bag' from QVC which I think I am going to love, vs. packing the rolling overnight bag, but anything I can avoid packing will help.

jgates I LOVE my everything bag from QVC! it's a handy bag to have! we keep ours stocked all the time, for trips to grandma's, WDW, etc :)

enjoy your mavica! I have an older version, with the floppies (bought from ebay ;) ) and even thought I have a newer smaller canon, I still go back to my mavica a lot of the time.

Lisa la la la.....I can't hear you, my baby is still a baby! LOL...

Hi S/D experts,

I'm looking at getting my flight and a Dolphin room off of Hotwire. (Since I'm getting my flight too, I KNOW it's the Dolphin). Hotwire says, "Taxes and fees included." But does anyone know if that includes the dreaded $10/day resort fee??

Also, I seem to remember last year, the S/D had a special that ran July 5 to end of August. Anyone remember what it was or if they are having another one this year?

FYI: The price is $377 per person from Kansas City to Orlando (flight and Dolphin room) for 4 nights. I've been having a terrible time finding a cheaper flight!

:wave2: hello to the room...

It has been a difficult 3 days waiting to receive the tests results on the blood work done on my beloved Airedale, Reilly. The news finally came at 4:00 this afternoon - all is normal! :jumping1: Thank you for all your good thoughts - I believe it helped get the result I so desperately prayed for. DBIL is still holding on and seems to be stabilizing but that won't change the inevitable outcome - it's in God's hands.

I did call to make my ressie with TTC and have enough spg points to use for CL. At first, I thought I'd like a balcony room but now I'm leaning toward CL. We enjoyed it so much when we had it in 2002.

I am hoping to make the Boston DIS meet and have a chance to meet others DISers as well as our own S/D sorority sisters - paras4ri and jmcross!:D

 I'm SO happy to read your post!!~I just popped in for a quick peek as DD drives off for a steel drum performance (Private Party Gig) and DH & I work feverishly for the Festivites tomorrow! :hyper:

The "REILLY" news truly does my HEART good. ::yes:: With what I just went through with Mac, I could not bear the thought of ANYTHING being wrong with your little sweetie. Thank the Lord...all is well.

I'll keep your DBIL in my thoughts and prayers, and know God will continue to watch over him. May the love you all feel for him provide him with lasting comfort and peace during this time.

I am THRILLED you will have the points for CL! They may just upgrade you to a "balcony" upon request (if available) and permit you CL access! If you want both...ASK! The least they can say is...no. And then you are no worse off than if you never asked. ;) I will be with you in SPIRIT for the Boston meet!! :teleport:

swilphil~GET OUT OF TOWN!!! Does that price....$377...include BOTH the Dolphin accomodations "AND" your flight???! IF SO...that is a PHENOMENAL DEAL! The price does not include the resort tax (from what I've read). I do not recall the special which ran last summer (while I was THERE!!)...does anyone else?

madge~ :rotfl: ...XO to you!! Your post brought a huge SMILE to my face! BTW...were you COVERING both ears during the "la la la" part?!? :teeth:

jgates~I'm SO PROUD of you!!! :sunny:
Also, I'm thrilled with the results of your Ebay purchase. What a great cam @ a FAB price! The photos are just the best with every SONY cam we use. I'm stuck on SONY...and need to purchase stock (make note for CPA). I can not WAIT to see the pics you take with this new toy. Kudos to you for reading half the manual already! (That's a WOMAN for you!) My DH absolutely detests wasting his time reading the instruction booklets (for ANYTHING). He feels he's mechanically inclined enough to bypass such drival! LOL...I'm the one whom always READS them, and then humorously intervenes with such statements as, "Oh, honey...that piece is on backwards!" :teeth: That's why GOD created MAN first...because a TRUE MASTERPIECE always needs a ROUGH DRAFT!!

paras4ri~It's a serious possibility~! ::yes::

TO EVERYONE IN THE ROOM!! HAPPY HOLIDAY WEEKEND!!

TTFN...DF99 :wave2:

Rough draft......That's putting it kindly!!! (Sorry Loubon, Robmax, anyone else I am insulting!!!:p )

I'm uploading a few photos to imagestation and will be back shortly.....
