Oh, you will LOVE Soarin' over California! It is the BEST...with the smells SO VIVID (Orange Groves and Ocean are my two favs) as well as the feeling of SOARING. It's incredible. The opposite of ToT...which IS a true screamer! At least...I SCREAM while riding this terror!

Tomorrow...I'm going to make some more reservations...for WDW & the DOLPHIN! I'm still planning all the details of the trip...leaving some for the last minute (spreading-out the FUN).

Enjoy your last weekend of peace, Mouseteacher! I can vouch for the fact that the angels are still wound up. We had Friday/Monday off and since I spent it at a hockey tournament there wasn't much time to rest except for Monday (which I used to the max for resting!)

Ok, someone put me in time-out.... I just posted five times on the boards, and the first four were for AKL. I feel like a traitor! DS and I have discussed the swan/akl plan. If we can get someone to listen to us high up....... LOL

DF>> ToT is my favorite ride! I hope you get there on opening day! I really love the theming to the entire ride from the gardens and rooms, all the way to the drop.

Mouseteacher>>I keep forgetting we're NOT disney and there isn't enough Disney at the S/D! Hard to tell my family that as they were staring at the EPCOT ball every morning! I believe it was a moderate v. swolphin CL at only a few dollars difference in price question. I still remember DD's first comment when we walked into the Swan.."Now this is more like it!" DD and DS were forced to share a queen bed, and I swear they never fought, since they fell asleep so quickly they didn't have time!

Did I mention it was FRIDAY? This four day week sure seems to have lasted longer than usual! Finally have dinner planned.... ordered pizza and salad!

JGates>> I thought the same thing with my January reservations, and I did change my days to stay "cheap". Two weeks before we left the rates slid down to their lowest ever! I have a feeling that there were seats blocked by travel agencies and they sold them back. Good luck on your tickets!

#2 - Soaring - OK I remember something now about that. Seems like it will be quite awhile before it is done. But anyone spot where it is located? I am 'guessing' on the side opposite from TestTrack/MS etc. Are we over near Living Seas and the Land? Wish it would be done this summer but I have 2005 or 2006 in my head??????? Seems like it was even later than the new mountain in AK. And does it interfere with any photo ops in Epcot. It was irritating last time when 2 or 3 of the WS countries had scaffolding on them. This appears to be a distraction in the photos from the Swan over the Boardwalk, but maybe the cranes will not be up by the time July comes. (is that something on topic?)

BambiTamby - Thank you soooo much. The cheerleader Disbug linked to is the one I had that just 'evaporated' one day. This new one is just 'too cool'. Everyone will be soooo jealous. Can we make her a brunette with short hair (just teasing you - this one is fine!!! - You are such a talent!)

As for airlines, I know they are all different but ususally with non-refundable tickets, any change (up or down or different flight schedule) will cost $100 per ticket. Refundable you can make changes etc. but they charge you much more to begin with.

So I will retreat to my thoughts of the Dolphin and our upcoming trip!

Dreamflight: Is there a chance you would share with me your balcony room recommendations? I read on one of the other threads you had done that and I was hoping not to create a flood of requests on that thread, but I really would like to know your opinions!

I love all your clippies! I need to find the paintshop thingy you mentioned a few pages ago! I tried paintshop.com and that is not it. I need a site with clip art! I tried Dan's site (from the tech board) for clip art and it was just Mickey's, etc. I am back to the drawing board as far as clippies go. You are a ray of sunshine here on the DIS and we ALL love you!!

On topic! How do I find rates for the S/D, 2005 with DU? I can only find 2004.

1)How about... it's the highest hotel on Disney property. Is that a good fact?
2)When you walk into the Lobby from the front of the resort (where the valet parks your car) there is a ceiling which resembles the sky... twinkling stars, shooting stars~ Day or night it is MAGIC!

Around $100 when I got mine, and I'm always upgrading mine on the web site.

The 2005 rates haven't been released yet, on glo's FAQ ?

When you take the boat from the Swan/Dolphin to Mgm you are the very next stop! You're going to love the friendship boats! Also, if the buses have shared transportation with the beach and yacht club you'll be the one of the first stops for pickup which means you'll always have a seat!

Need to get a pair of those rhinestone sunglasses for when I check in, too. Don't they (spg) know we are the Sigma Delta/ Swan/ Dolphin Sorority? celebrities in our own right!

sarahsmom~ when you walk out the back doors leading to the friendship launches - stop and look at the beautiful landscaping, particularly the flower beds planted along the walkway connecting the Swan and Dolphin or listen for the horn of the launches as they approach the dock -- all of the sensory things I try to take in when in WDW and the Swolphin. I guess you could call it my "stopping to smell the roses" theory.

Mouseteacher~I could picture us all arriving at the SAME TIME, with a large sign emblazoned with our insignia....and standing front and center at the SPG check-in desk!! LOL...all with our rhinestone glasses and looking very A~LIST! What a FUN time we would have all together.
