just a FYI....my boutique sells ALOT of those gorgeous crystal studded sunglasses!
They're fabulous!

I've been telling SD when that boutique space comes available,
I want it!
I would LOVE to spiff that little place up!
It does have some cute things in it, in fact, some of the same things I carry!
Just would have a good reason to live at the Dolphin if I had a boutique there!

Now, Brittany Jewels at the Dolphin has some nice designer handbags and Brighton stuff!
Up my alley, too!

OOH! You guys are catching on!! LOL! The souvenir hunt has already begun and some things are already on their way to my house! I didn't see any of the Crystal/rhinestone studded sunglasses... but I did run across the pink flamingo ones! (But they are NOT on the way to my house!)

Ok Loubon, would it have the same effect if I actually was not changing the ticket? Only asking for a credit?

I'm not sure what is happening on that day, but now my 7 am flight has disappeared and they have added about 5 new flights but all with one plane change in either Detroit or Memphis.

Never mind - I changed to non-stop only and it showed back up. But I don't know why all of the other flights are now appearing. I guess I will book tomorrow either way and just grin & bear it.

The 10:15 flight I originally wanted at $242.70 disappeared the other day - it is now back but up to $342.70!!!! I better shut up, take the $272 at 7:05 and cross my fingers for a bump and free flight tickets. I'll be the first one volunteering. Then I won't have to stress like this the next time.

I'm SPG gold and currently have about 8,500 points. We'll be staying at the Dolphin for 8 nights around the 4th of July and currently have a "limited view" room through a corporate rate.

Can anyone help me figure out what kind of upgrade I should go for. I'm planning to use the points because I'm not certain much will be available for complimentary upgrades that time of year. Should I wait and see what's offered, and then upgrade with points? There will be 3 adults & 2 kids in the room so a balcony would be great just for a bit of extra space.

I'd appreciate any and all suggestions!

Well, paras4i~ You could book a CL room upgrade, or a balcony room upgrade. I personally like the CL but would only use points or ask for a complimentary upgrade. Most times CL upgrade is not available at check-in. (Please correct me if others find it readily available when they have checked in.)

After having had a balcony, it is pretty much a must for me, too! LOL! I just love the company and delicious treats offered for breakfast at the CL!

Those are my 2 cents!

I'd love to book CL with my points.....especially considering my DS who never stops eating! From what I've read on other threads CL floors have no balcony....and that the Dolphin no longer allows CL privileges from other floors!

I'm sure Dreamflight can point you in the right direction..! I have heard there IS a room with a balcony on the CL floor, but not everyone knows about it. Don't know what the view is like... I have found that the Plat level SPG have the most latitude in receiving perks (as well they should since they spend a lot of money at the Starwood hotels!) I am also Gold and have had NO luck in getting CL privledges from another floor! BUT I qualify that with other people reporting they HAVE done it...

Remember, with Pixie dust... magical things can happen for you! So don't give up!

I'm really looking forward to my stay at the Dolphin in August. But now I'm thinking about tacking on a few nights at AKL on the end of my Dolphin stay. How easy is is to transfer between the S/D and a Disney resort. I won't have a rental car, so I was thinking I would just get a cab. What have your experiences with this been like? Thanks!!!
