Well if I'm the Historian let me capture this moment for the future. Here are the votes for Disbug as they are being counted:

I'll let you all figure out who is who....;)

:jumping1: This is the way I like to start my day. You guys crack me up! :teeth:
Have a great day. (PS..I will put my vote in that ballot box!)::yes::

Goodmorning all!

I'm back to a very chilly CT. We did have a great time at the Dolphin and WDW. It is hard to come up with just a few of the things we love about the Dolphin. I will start by mentioning the all important location! What can be better than walking to Epcot, MGM or Boardwalk? Maybe the views of Epcot, MGM and Boardwalk from the Dolphin! The restaurants nearby this resort are numerous. Try Fresh and the Blue Zoo located right at the Dolphin! I have a picture of Blue Zoo to post sometime soon (I hope). It was great being able to keep in touch with this thread while on vacation! I'm hooked on laptops! As long as you have windows XP it is very easy to hook up.

Mouseteacher, Your new glasses sound high tech! DH, DS and DD all wear contacts but wear glasses in the evening. I think glasses look great on people. There are so many nice styles to pick from. My DS's GF has a little pair of square ones that I love! Keep warm in Boston!

Hockeymom, I hope you're packed and ready to go! I'll assume that you did not mentioned the flu or cold because it is GONE. Have a great time making memories with your DS! Bring your laptop!

Waving to Ozzie, Mompoppins, Lauren, DF, Loubon, Robmax, Disbug and all newcomers!

Muffy

Taking a few minutes from my lunchtime to catch up on posts! Of course, I am smiling away at Disbug's and Lou's posts and trying hard not to laugh out loud so those near me won't think I'm shirking my responsibilities!

Awww sorority secretary - I'm honored! ::yes::

Debbie ~ have a wonderful time - wish I were there with you!

VP? Hmmm... how about RobMax after all he is a prof!

Staying warm and out of the deep freeze,
MT

PotatoHead and I proudly accept the nomination for co-Social Directors. We will have you all at Jellyrolls singing 70's songs in no time. We may even have to come up with some hazing ritual involving alcohol.

Muffy -- welcome back and thanks again for all of the great reports.

Hockeymom--- waiting for your first report. Have a wonderful time.

Room wave,

Lauren

Lou~ You are TOO good!! That's my PAW PAW in there too, but I'm not dropping a ballot: LOL...HARDLY....(IMSECRETLYOVERSEEINGTHESECURITYOFTHEANNUALDUESBEINGPAIDBYMEMBERSATTHERATEOF$100000PERPERSONWHICHISAREALBARGAINWHENYOUCONSIDERALLTHEEXPERTSONTHEBOARDAHEMDOYOUSEEME?).

mouseteacher~What do you think of Wellesley? Deserving of the ranking? (4th in the nation for liberal colleges). DD may apply early. :sunny:

I second the VP motion for RobMax, (PROF)! ::yes::

Hey, wait a minute......Disbug is in Florida. We may need to be sure there were no hanging chads........

The lurkers held a meeting in our lounge and agree with the ballot as presented.

Welcome home Muffy. Thanks for all the on the spot reports. You have me thinking about doing the Tom- oops Richard Petty whatever :moped:.

Have a great trip #1 hockeymom!

I'm getting excited about my trip but first I'm going to be able to rack up a few Starwood Points by staying at the Sheraton Suites in Dallas this month (the conference I'm going to is housed at a nearby Hyatt but I'll do a few minutes driving to add to my total).

Hope all the ill are improving in health. :umbrella:

Have a great day all- gotta get out of this office air conditioning to warm up outside (70's) :p

Get me out of this state!!!!!!

My report cards are done, they've been uploaded/exported/thought over and LEFT! Getting to my car was another matter... just which snow pile was the explorer under? Its cold.. its storm warning time.. as one of my kids said in class.. its Blizzardating.... took me almost two hours to get home and they let us go early!...

TGIL! *Thank God I'm Leaving!*

I won't have my laptop. The tech people have it just in case something goes wrong when they do the "big upload". I handed over my laptop and my password and never looked back!:p

We're going to DISNEY WORLD!

I can't believe I am missing Muffy by two days!

Btw... I proudly accept my title! Yes, I do always have a hockey stick with me.... and I know how to use it! :) LOL I also have all the required gear, and can go into action at anytime! If that doesn't scare the proper people, I can always use my teacher voice and the "eye".

I'll miss checking the boards! Be safe and healthy!

Debbie <----- who is just NOW starting to pack!

*like the one in my EXCLAMATIONS?!? LOL....

DF - Wellesley gets two thumbs up from me - the college is only 30 minutes from my house. We have such wonderful higher educational institutions to choose from in the Boston area.

Hey, Lauren --- add some 50/60s music to the Jellyroll sing along and I'm sold!:smooth:

Debbie~ is that Michigan weather headed here? The forecast is for light snow tomorrow with dangerous cold temps. S/D take me away (S/D inserted in place of Calgon)! ;)

I, too, humbly accept the nomination and will promise to carry out my duties with seriousness of purpose. My new glasses will certainly make my job performance reach new heights of excellence! But just remember, the principal in me will record all actions taken by the Sgt at Arms and her hockey stick! :p and that means you, too, Lou! :teeth:

Hi everyone!

Quick question -- does the Dolphin/Swan have any rooms to accommodate a party of 8? And, if so, any idea of price with an Annual Pass discount?

Thanks for the help!

YES!! The one BR exec. suite would suit 8 just fine (w/two beds in one room, King murphy and queen sleeper in parlor). Prices with AP are about $500 per eve. Give them a call (directly) and check on the accomodations and prices. How does this compare with the suites at the Poly?

Muffy ~ Welcome home ! We enjoyed your post "live from the Dolphin".

Bobump ~ How was your trip. If I recall you were going to be at Epcot ringing in the New Year :)

Disbug ~ I will also accept my nomination :)

Hockeymom ~ Have a great time with DS, can't wait to hear all the details.

Hello to everyone else... Waving to the room :)

Thanks so much DF99 -- I knew you would know the answer!:p

The suites at the Poly don't accommodate 8 and even if they did --I know for sure I couldn't afford it.

$500 per eve is what I was hoping for! Thanks again! I'll call and check availability.
