Have a great flight back, Dreamflight! We're going to miss your posts from the world!

We went school shopping and did buy clothes. We also came home with a catfish, two tetras, and a gerbil. How does this happen? The gerbil will be going into my classroom. He looked so sad there with his "free to good home" sign. I have lots of old cages around here and we just set him up in his new home. The fish are new additions for the family fish tank, which lives next to the family guinea pig "zamboni". The cat and dog are staking out the new tenants.

Who has booked the Swan or Dolphin with the teacher rate for next Easter? Did you go through the S/D site, DU, or SPG?

mouseteacher....I saw the little league team from MA being introduced today and two of them said that their favorite players were Albert Pujols and Scot Rolen... two Cardinals. I was so proud! In fact, the one who plays third base was asked who he would most like to meet and he said "either Scot Rolen or Pamela Anderson!" From the mouths of babes....that is why I teach in elementary school! Aren't they fun?

oh, oh wasn't that from a generation close to "madge" or am I dating myself from that generation????? (I was mere baby then)

The Saugus team has been invited to Wednesday's Red Sox game at Fenway and Nomar is going to introduce them. They will also have a reception at the state house with the governor. Tough loss for those kids but I was pleased to see the positive sportsmanship all players and personnel displayed.

Thank you all (if I haven't thanked you personally) for all the wonderfully nice remarks you make about our newly formed Sigma Delta Sorority. I am of a mind to plan an official meet. With plenty of amucking to be had! We must first start with a poll: "when is the best time of year??" being the foremost question. That way we can plan specific events for us whilst our families are playing in the pool, sleeping, etc... (*or bring them along if they wish!) Or dare we dream it? A girls night out!!


PS For those who are thinking about going the week after Christmas, I think Hotwire is showing either the Swan or Dolphin for $109 per night up until Jan 2. The amenities seem to match for a 4 star hotel...By the time you add in resort fee and tax it will be about $133/night.

Disbug ~ A meet in WDW sounds wonderful but I know summer is the only time I could go. Right now DH and I are hoping (budget willing) to make a trip in either July or August 04 - weeks are flexible. We won't firm any plans until next spring.

I suggest we keep posting about it and see what happens - it could be something magical.

jmcross ~ I saw your yearbook entry - clever! I knew you could do some serious "amucking"!! BTW, we are on the polar ends of Boston - me north of and you south of... not far from one another!

PKDCoastrs ~ Great photos - LOL your expression on SM - that would be me, too!! That's if I rode SM - I did once in 1978 and that did me in -never again, I vowed, and I never have ridden again.

Looks like you all had a great time - what did you think of the Dolphin?

We are in the same state and I am a teacher also. What do you teach? I teach fourth grade.

It's almost time to start again!

The summer just flies by so quickly!

jmcross ~ I taught 2nd grade for many years and taught 5th and 6th departmentalized for 1 year and then... I got "promoted" shall we say to principal where I have been ever since. But, I always think of myself as "teacher" since those were the happiest years. I still miss my own classroom and my own students. However, the students in my school are great kids and I have forged a good relationship with all of them. I work very hard at making contact with them everyday. I am not one to be closeted in my office.
