...here's a BIG THUMB'S UP to your first 1,500 posts!! Wow, I'd better get crackin' at the keyboard (you have almost caught up to me!!!!)

(BTW ~ how do you like my new tag???)

Lucky you kimmar - 3 tags! Luv the latest. By the way, what is kangaloosh? Have you found out yet? :D

...it's a "not to be missed" tropical drink that is served at the Adventurer's Club in PI.....I'm STILL trying to get the recipe!!
(BTW ~ it's kungaloosh!)

Oh, OZZIE...you are TOO kind! Thanks...I never even noticed. ;)

Yes, mouseteacher...fields of gold, for "US" at least. It's our own little Zanadu...paradise, our yellow (GOLD) brick road to the EMERALD CITY! :)

I too, love the Silverbacks and the Western Lowland Gorillas in the AK. Should have been a primatologist, like one of my my favs...Dian Fossey.

The last entry in her diary reads: "When you realize the value of all life, you dwell less on what is past and concentrate on the preservation of the future." Here's to Dian, and the preservation efforts of wonderful places like WDW Animal Kingdom. Dian would have LOVED the place...I'm sure. Thanks again, Walt.
;)

Great pictures, DF. Such a tragic and horrifying end to Dian Fossey's life.

Mouseteacher,
Our Easter break is also Good Friday until April 28. At 3: 50 AM!!! on Good Friday I'll be heading out to the airport for our 7 AM flight to Orlando. Don't want to miss a minute of the magic although I may be heading to dreamlanfd a little early that night.

Dreamflight, Thanks for the info on POFQ. One of our permanent subs just made reservations there for December(of course after checking with me, the resident Disney expert.) I suggested the S/D to her but her husband liked the FQ theme and they were able to get a great deal on the room. Anyway, when Disney calls them to change do you think she might be able to get in a deluxe for a similar amount of money?

Ozzie,
When we return I might be asking for some help posting our pictures. I just bought DH a new digital camera( more AmEx points) This may turn into a full time job.

I just booked the Swan for 8 nights in Aug at Club Level for $1596.68 thru Dreams Unlimited. Is this a good price? (I hope so) It's for me, dh, dd, ds. We do have reservations at POR but will have to cancel now. Please tell me I did the right thing. Thanks for any replys.

Well, $200 a night for Club Level is a very good deal. And they are much nicer hotels than PO. I steered a co-worker to PO Riverside because she booked through 3A and wanted the whole unlimited Park pass and Disney Experience. For the money, the Swan & Dolphin are a much better experience, especially if Epcot and MGM are your favorite parks.:D

Thanks pbhunt, I feel better already, it looks like a wonderful resort. And I am looking forward to our stay.

Thanks for the info on transportation....wow! $40 each??? Do you think if we offered to wash and valet the car they'd give us a discount?!!;)

This time next week - one SERIOUSLY excited family!!!!!!!!

Well tomorrow we are expecting 4-7 inches of snow!!!! Enough is enough, 6 days to go and counting. Seems that this years spring break is a bit staggered so maybe the week before easter won't be too crowded (LOL). We are planning a busch gardens day as we haven't been in about 5 years.
No change on my ressie yet just Delta has changed our flights once again, but I was able to rebook onto a better homebound flight so all is well in that dept.

Gilligan - check into renting a car for the day. It might be cheaper in the long run and give you the ability to explore a little.

DisNurse we are expecting snow tomorrow too, and a lot of it...I can not wait to get to Florida!

We are leaving Thursday at 5 am so any last minute hints or tips would be appreciated:D :D !

Our temperature here was in the 70's and low 80's all week.....very nice with a gentle breeze. We don't really get much of a winter here----hasn't snowed in years----the trees didn't even start losing their leaves until December. We don't really get but 2 seasons---and I miss having a real fall and spring! However, I agree with you that you have had ENOUGH snow!

Clothes are packed! Yeah! Need to go out today and get snacks for the car and tons of batteries for my digital camera! I am taking my laptop so I can download the pictures daily!!

This time next week we will be checking in..........

Can anyone tell me - if I have three children in a room at the Dolphin (with two adults) will I be REQUIRED to rent a rollaway at $25/night?

BettyC

... rehabbing any rooms at the Dolphin yet? I know that they've already rehabbed a lot of rooms at the Swan, but was wondering what the likelihood of getting a rehabbed room at the Dolphin for a May trip was like... Also, does anyone have any suggestions as far as which areas I should request for our stay at the Dolphin? Are some locations better than others? Is a high floor preferable to a lower one? We have only reserved a standard room, so I'm not sure what we'd be eligible for floor-wise and view-wise.

Thanks for any help/suggestions,
Sarah
