New Disney Ships: News, Rumors, Speculation.....and Names!

They seem committed to keeping the Fantasy in PC and having the Dream bounce around a little bit more.

My guess is the Destiny satisfies the year-round requirement in the Port Everglades contract.

The Destiny alone is not enough to satisfy the minimum passenger requirements in the Port Everglades agreement. A 2nd ship is required for at least parts of the year to hit the required numbers.

I meant that will be the required year-round ship that is part of the agreement.

The agreement does not “require” a year round ship. Just requires a certain number of passengers per year. Now obviously the easiest way to hit that number is with a year round ship doing short cruises- but they wouldn’t HAVE to hit the number that way.

I really hope all the FL ships don't become Triton class... I am hoping it becomes:

PC - Two Triton and a Dream Class year round
PE - One Triton year round and a Dream Class much of the year (ideally One Triton and one Magic Class but I'm skeptical...)

I thought I read a couple months ago that the Dream was rumored to start splitting time between Port Everglades, Europe, and Galveston. Similar to the Magic's old schedule.

Could be and would make some sense...

Once Triton IV is in the picture who knows... I just hope it isn't all Triton all the time in Florida, but am worried that's how things may end up... We were ELATED when we were able to book a cruise on the Dream thanks to the new offers for FL residents...

Because it is...!

If she weren't so far away I'd sail on her. I've never been on a very large ship before, so it'd be novel. Not sure I could convince my husband to sail on her though... he is anti huge ships.
Interestingly she is only 3 feet longer than the Treasure. All her size is in the width of the ship.

It's wild because she doesn't look that much wider than the Wish class ships in the photo/video-- but also that's great news because it means the trek from front to back of the ship won't be as bad as I feared.
Yes, I researched it when trying to figure out how bad a forward cabin would be. I was pleasantly surprised. It’s about 10 meters more in width, which is not a huge amount. Ship is also higher I think.

She is also 20 decks...
Yes, but look at the deck plans and the bottom ones don’t have anything going on. Tender Lobby is on deck 4, shops are deck 5. so 1-3 are totally moot.

Btw, I am afraid after looking at the deck plans in detail that anyone complaining about layout issues on the Wish will not enjoy this ship as stuff doesn’t seem to follow much rhyme or reason at all. There seem to be multiple dead ends!
