New Disney Ships: News, Rumors, Speculation.....and Names!

They don't need 3 Triton ships in PC
Why not? With all the people that regularly visit WDW, I would think that there is a huge potential market that would support more capacity at PC. Isn't that why they are also going to use terminal 10 going forward?

I'm selfish and would like to go on the Fantasy at some point so I want her to stay in PC 😂 But also from a load distribution, you need a draw to Port Everglades, and as of yet I'm not convinced that LC is that draw. A shiny new ship though, would be that draw.

Received an invitation from DCL regarding a three-day event which will begin on July 30th.

"Join us for a unique three-day reveal event on the Disney Parks Blog starting July 30 at 10:00 a.m. ET. Each day, we’ll share how myths and stories come alive aboard the newest ship in our fleet."

I hope it is not the week of Christmas for the Maiden.......keeping my fingers crossed it is earlier in the month.

Sounds like they will follow the (bad) example of the Treasure and make the maiden voyage a holiday sailing.
There are slots in the schedule starting in early Dec out of PE that they could use and cash in on both a maiden voyage surcharge and then xmas a few weeks later.

Interesting. Isn't that the same situation with the Treasure though?

Not really. The Fantasy is still doing 7 nights well into Dec before the Treasure comes online. There is a 7 night Fantasy Dec 7-14th, and even one once the Treasure sails on Dec 29th. The Treasure Maiden is still not sold out. I don't think DCL is loving those optics.

Meanwhile in 2025 the Dream stops its 5 nights at the end of Nov and there are zero sailings currently listed in Dec out of PE for more than 4 nights. That gives the Destiny space for a preview sailing, maiden, and Xmas if they want to.

Interesting! I would have thought it was. I guess the pricing and the timing has deterred a lot of people.

With the Dream getting more Concierge rooms and with the Destiny coming online now, too, I'm hoping DCL is finally putting excess capacity on the market and prices for Concierge come down.

Definitely a big gamble by DCL launching as much capacity as they are, and I'm not even sure they're done with expansion announcements.

Also I bet it is likely that the Fantasy gets the same additional concierge rooms when it goes for its drydock. That's a lot of concierge rooms across DCL's fleet.

And I know it isn't always the same audience but Carnival just announced 3 new mega ships (2029-2033) that will hold 8k passengers each...

The cruise industry might be really over-saturating the market if they aren't careful.
