NEW Disney Gift Card Deals and More.

Just checked mine. I have it but fine print says gift card purchases are not eligible. Maybe they wouldn’t be able to tell with an in-store purchase? If anyone tries it, let us know whether a in-store GC purchase worked.
Yes I have used the offer previously on a different card and used it in store and received the $10 back. I also have the 20% online but I wouldn’t trust gift cards to code correctly as “CVS” so I just stick to doing the in store one.

Any ideas of whether this might work for purchasing giftcards online? I have 20% back at CVS, but it's online only.
I’m not willing to risk it. Have you looked at the front page for CVS? I haven’t my checked myself but the people that run this board do a great job of updating the first page so you don’t have to scroll forever to find something.

Alright, you’ve convinced me to give it a go.

I posted about this earlier in the year and it posted fine.

It is not exactly a statement credit like Chase and AMEX offers but instead goes into your rewards section.

>>>>when Chase Freedom/Freedom Flex or Discover offers warehouse clubs as a 5% category you can combine that with their lower price to get better value than at Target. >>>

Freedom Flex has 5% cash back this quarter on "live entertainment " ... the fine print says this includes amusement parks. Given that DGCs are always 5% off w Target Circle card, is there a creative place / way that you make the most of this category cashback buying Disney tix direct? Perhaps buying through the Sam's travel portal (already discounted Disney tix) would trigger it? Considering using the travel portal to buy MVMCP tix in September or something similar.

Yup that is many people did last quarter when Sam’s had them on sale for 10% off + the 5% from these credit cards

<<< A lot these sites code as travel like undercover tourist even though they are selling tickets. >>>

Yeah, figured that might be the case. Trying to figure out a creative way to stack the 5% live entertainment cashback category with a discounted ticket vendor so that I make out better than the simple 5%. Much like the 10%/5% stack you mentioned at Sam's, which I definitely do when the stars align. 👍

I got a $15 offer on my Cash App this morning. Valid on any purchase at least $15.

Will be going to Dollar General or Kroger. Last time I've been there they still have the DGC's that range from $15-$500. If not I'll just get a $25 one instead.

So if I do find a $15 DGC in the wild:
$15 - $15 = 100% savings

Just returned from my CVS/CapOne run. Had to note that the DGCs were plastic - don't know if it was an old stash of GCs or if Disney is giving up on the paper ones. Thought I'd note it. Going to make sure I hold on to this one in case I want to use a physical gift card again. In addition to worrying about losing your gift card, I always worried about those paper ones getting soaked in water and becoming unusable. Still prefer my Apple Wallet of course :-) .

Sounds like a good deal. Where do you see these offers? When I log in to Capital One shopping, I only see 1% rewards.
It is not Capital One Shopping it is for Capital One Credit Card holders.

Login to Capital One.
I have multiple cards so have to click each one but I assume if if you only have 1 it should load up right away.
Between the information with the card name and balance information and your recent transactions you should see "Shopping Offers"
Click on "View All offers"

Click "In-Store"

Hopefully you will then see it.

Click on the offer and activate it.
When you activate it it opens a new window for CVS you can just close that.
You might want to take a screenshot of the activation code.

Yes they seem to be all plastic as nobody buys any there lol. See if it is a really old one with the 4 digit pin/ean # :)

Kroger has them at $15.
Kroger is doing the 4x fuel points right now if you have the coupon clipped so that is close to 10 cents off for free as well :)

It was an 8 digit ean# - the scratch off had the last 4 digits of the gift card number and the ean#. Had not seen one like this before - but, haven't been at the DGC game very long either.

I’m hoping to try the Tickets at Work platform for this promotion. I believe it codes as entertainment.

So does this mean gift cards are excluded just for online purchases or does exclude in store purchases as well?

They are the same exclusions it mentions cvs.com or at a CVS drug store or pharmacy.

Technically they are excluded but Capital One doesn't know what you are buying from CVS only that you made a purchase there which is why Gift cards will work in store.

From CVS.com when you search for giftcards it will redirect you to thegiftcardshop website and from there you are no longer going to see a cvs.com purchase on your credit card giving you the offer but instead one for the gift card shop website.

I purchased HS After Hours tix through the Sam's Travel Portal back in March with a different, non-Chase branded card, and that purchase coded as "theatrical production/ticket agent" for that card issuer - which I suspect might qualify if it codes the same with Chase. I don't lose much by trying, as that site has Disney party tickets for about 5% off anyway. It would just be nice to stack it with cashback!

Thank you. I don't have that offer but at least I know where to look now.
