Can someone please tell me whether Disney eGift Cards purchased from Sam’s Club can be loaded into the iPhone wallet? And, if so, how?

I apologize if this question has been asked and answered already.

Thank you!

Post #6 Disney Gift Cards Info & Facts

Disney World Adds New Payment Options Including Apple Pay to Mobile Order! Direct link
  • If you buy an e-gift card directly from Shop Disney, there will be a button link in the email to add it to Apple Wallet. There doesn’t seem to be a way to do it with physical gift cards or e-gift cards purchased from third party web sites like Target.
Since I had a lot of discounted gift cards I bought from BJs, I bought one $25 gift card from Shop Disney that I added to Apple Wallet. Then I transferred the balance from my other gift cards using the Disney Gift Card web site. It was so convenient to use in the parks! Post #7 by @iheartglaciers

Perfect! Thank you so much for digging this up.

I arrived late to the party for the $180 Sam’s Club deal but was able to buy 4 @ $185. My plan is to buy as many as I can between now and our trip in late January, even if the price goes back to up to $190, and use them to pay MFs and buy our first ever APs. From what I gather from other posts, I can just call in the eGift Card information to pay MFs and buy APs. Then, if there are any left, I want to combine them and store them in my Apple Wallet for use during our trip.

We bought our first DVC membership in 2023 and still have a lot to figure out so thank you to all of you who share your knowledge and experiences so freely.

You can pay your DVC dues online with GCs so no need to sit on the phone and wait for a CM. Just make sure to select the "pay by contract" option if you have multiple contracts and it will let you put in the specific amount for each one. Also, if you have your DVC membership linked on your MDE account and its an eligible one, you can buy your APs online too. If I can do anything online and not have to talk to a CM, I'll take it. You'll just have to activate the AP when you get to Disney.

Oh I had forgotten about the ability to add giftcards to the Apple Wallet. Just purchased a DGC from the Disney Store with my Visa rewards so I can add it to my wallet. That will make life a lot easier when mobile ordering. Thanks for the reminder!

We recently closed on a contract to add a second home resort (contract and points not showing yet, hopefully soon) so I appreciate the “pay by contract” advice.

From what I read we can use only one gift card per transaction when paying online which is why I thought I needed to talk to a CM. Can you simply combine multiple card balances on the gift card website and then pay your DVC dues or purchase APs online using the combined balance?

Thanks!

Yes, I combine my GCs as much as I can and then use one to pay each contract off (I have 3). You can pay as much as you want per contract so you can do multiple payments. I’ll recombine smaller balances as I need to as I go along. I buy APs/tixs one at a time if the amount is large and it’s super easy.

I believe I now have my plan! Thanks so much for your help.
