New DCL Ships Will Not Be Shown on MEYER WERFT Webcam.....

First, Andy, where have you been? We're begining to think you jumped ship! And secondly...Dang, I guess I'll remove their website from my Favorites.

lame! did they say why??

There was a little talk about it, but I don't remember all what was said. :confused3

I really need to go back and listen to it again.

Andy's been here partying with us.

That seems rather odd, I would have thought as long as the ships are being built in those buildings we'd see them. I was looking forward to that. Perhaps they're afraid too many of us will be checking in and overload their system, we are an active curious lot.

The announcement about the Meyer Werft webcam was made during the Rapid Fire segment around the 26:10 minute mark into the show. I guess there are surprises that DCL does not want anyone to know about until after the ships are completed.

Also, at the 25:15 minute mark, it was also announced that DCL will be opening an office in London.

From what I gather, this news was being shared from a DCL memo.

I haven't a clue who you could be talking about................:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I really can't believe it's due to secrecy, the ship yard web cam is a static shot updated once a week. You can see the outside of the ship coming together, and we alreay know what the outside of the new ships are going to look like, but you would never be able to see any detailed interiors.

Could be that they will be built at a different part of the facility.

I wouldn't put too much stock in it until I see it listed by DCL or when they start building it the webcam doesn't show it

The podcast was totally off on where the Magic would sail for 2009

No surprise for me really. DCL has become very, very secretive. In a way it's a good thing because then it'll be a big to-do for the final reveal! But it is a little disappointing.

That sounds like good news for us from the UK and perhaps it means hopefully we shall get more Disney cruises from over here and that would be excellent news.

Please post if you have any more information.

I'm not at all surprised by this news. Disappointed, but not surprised...yet excited for the built up anticipation! I'm sure there are upper deck construction elements that they don't want leaked out to their guest nor their competition. :goodvibes You know...like that covered pool that would be great in Alaska! ;) :rotfl2: No doubt this was included in their contract to ensure privacy to their plan.

So thanks for the news (well...not really), Andy. :) I also have fingers crossed for those of you in Europe that you'll have the magic of Disney close to your home!

Well, that's a bummer. But I suppose it will make the anticipation that much more exciting!

I'm disappointed but not surprised. I think DCL wants to keep somethings under wraps. I guess I can stop looking at the webcam now!

I know most of you probably already know this, but thought I would mention that the current promotional DCL DVD (newbies who call DCL for info are offered it), has a neat section on the making of the Magic. Was very, very educational.
