New DCL Chamilia Charms

Most of the chamilia beads will fit on a pandora bracelet BUT they do recommend you bringing the bracelet with you as there is an occasion here or there where the threading on a chamilia bead will be a little too tight to fit on a particular pandora bracelet. I have 16 disney beads and this did finally happen to me. One of the dangle Tinkerbells just would not screw onto my pandora bracelet. We tried another Tink bead and were able to get that one on. The CM (seasoned) said that this happens from time to time with the pandora bracelets because of the threads being oh so slightly different in size. I have noticed some of my disney beads are definitely 'tighter' than others... And some beads it doesn't matter at all like the murano style glass or the new DCL life preserver. If you don't have a bracelet, I'd probably go ahead and get a chamilia one, but if you already have a pandora....just be sure to bring it along and try the bead on it. Chances are, it'll be fine, but better safe than sorry since and exchange won't be feasible. just thought I'd share my experience!

I was on that same cruise but didn't see these new charms ... I just bought the standard silver cruise ship with the DCL logo on it. Guess I will have to get back to shopping for another one when we are on the Dream next year.

I'm a Pandora girl also and got the life preserver one on our last cruise. It's lovely and fits perfectly.

Also there's a Chamilia retailer and a Pandora retailer at port in St Thomas and St Maarten (in case there's a deal going on and you need a bracelet or an excuse!)

Thanks Scott! This was on my list to find this thread to update as well I asked about the new charms very early on (first or second day) and was told the same. The CM I spoke to said they had been out of stock for 4 weeks and I got the impression they haven't restocked them since they were first available. He mentioned he had told onshore services that many were asking about them, how fast they sold, etc. and was really pushing them to bring more on. He mentioned too they were a "test" so apparently the test passed

We were on the Fantasy on Dec 1 I went as soon as the shop opened and asked about the new charms and was told they were a test and not sure when or if they would get them back in. I was so sad as it will be years before we can go back on the boat. Of all thwarting this on the boat this is one thing they absolutly can not send to someone on shore due to the duty free laws etc.

They did say they sold them quicker then expected.

Yes - I just bought the DCL ship charm on my 12/8-12/15 Fantasy sailing. I don't know if they are discontinuing it but I wouldn't think so.

I got the life preserver dangle one. I love it! I debated about the first one a little too long and it sold out. they said they only had 5 to begin with on our cruise anyway. I'm sure I'll get it next go round! I saw an anchor one but it didnt appear to be DCL exclusive to me... I thought that one seemed rather plain. I don't recall it even having the logo on it.

I loved the anchor one! It had a little Mickey head cut out on it, which makes it DCL exclusive. Unfortunately, the threading has changed, and they won't fit Pandora bracelets anymore. I was very sad!!!
