Thought you guys might want to know this.....New Yorkers or anyone within easy driving distance to NYC. Norwegian Cruise line just announced that their new ship the Norwegian Dream will start sailing from NYC in May of 2003 with stops in the Bahamas (Nassau and Great Stirrup Cay) and Miami and Port Canaveral. You can also embark in Port Canaveral and do a roundtrip that way. Then you could visit New York!!!!

NCL's brand new 92,000 ton 2,240- passenger ship will use her great speed to offer seven-day roundtrip from May through October 2003.

This is great news for anyone who wants to sail from NY but not do Bermuda or New England.

Just a heads up. There are accepting ressies as of 4/15/02.

Thanks for the heads up. Us New Yorkers are always looking for someting other than teh beaten path New England or Bermuda cruises!!!

Actually, it will be the Norwegian Dawn and not Dream. The Dream is a smaller ship NCL built in the early 90's and was stretched a couple of years ago.. I was wondering when NCL was finally going to make a move into Port Canaveral. The big players in the cruise industry are moving some serious tonnage into Canaveral now. Great news!
