I am wating for my points to be loaded into my account but want to plan a October trip. I want to go to either Hilton Head or Vero beach but I am not sure Hilton head will have any availabiliy by the time my points are loaded into the system. My question is how does everyone like Vero Beach in October? I see that point values are very low and I know it is Hurricane season but assuming there is no hurricane is October a bad time to visit Vero beach ? Is there something I am missing?

Absolutely gorgeous! We were there for a minor storm Rita but it blew by and wasn't an issue. Love VB (we love HHI too) and I hope you have a great trip!

We are going for a studio , any reccomensdations ?
There are three villa buildings, building 12 north of the Inn building and buildings 14 and 15 to the south. Building 14 is closest to the pool. You might look at Google Maps to get an idea of the building locations. IMG_0540.png

The six smaller buildings nearer to the ocean are the 3-bedroom beach cottages.

We usually stay in an inn room rather than a villa studio, so I cannot comment on particular areas studios options. However, we like ocean view inn rooms on either the 3rd or 4th floor.

Thank you, why do you prefer the INN?
We stayed in a villa studio our first two trips, both times in building 12. The views were not great from the locations we were assigned, primarily foliage around the grounds. Even a room on the ocean side of the villas will likely not have an ocean view, since the cottages and the sand dune both sit between the villas and the ocean. We decided to try an Ocean View Inn room for our next stay and were given a room on the third floor that gave us a great view of the ocean. We were easily able to see over the sand dune. The Inn building proved to be convenient during that January trip as the weather was on the cooler side and we were in the same building as the restaurant, bars, and market. Since then, we’ve returned many times, always staying in an Inn room and requesting 3rd or 4th floor if available. The last interior room renovations made them even better suited to us, traveling as a couple without any children along. Originally, Inn rooms had two queen size beds while the villa studios had a queen bed and a sleep sofa. Now they are set up similar to the DVC studios at WDW with a queen bed and a sofa. TBH, I forget if that was a sleep sofa or if there was a Murphy bed above the the sofa, since we wouldn’t need it in any case. Inn rooms still have a small table with two dining chairs, a definite improvement from the new layout in the studios at our home resort, BWV.
