These new machines have started popping up in places like 5 Guys. I was wondering if anyone has spotted them in WDW yet.

They are cleaner than the old fountain and WOW the choices are awesome. Especially for non-carbinated options.

sorry I don't know if they are in WDW yet but I had to say that they are really cool, They have them at the Wegman's near me.

Aren't those the free style machines? If they showed up anywhere on Disney property, it would probably be Club Cool and they aren't there yet. Heck, the free style machines aren't even available to the public at the World of Coke yet. The employees have to do the mixing for you.

I love the option but if people at Disney World can't make up their minds before they enter a counter service line on what choices of food they want, I can imagine the lines for Free Style Coke with over 100 flavor options plus the ability to combine flavors will send people into massive overload. Might need FastPasses for Free Style machines and I'm not kidding.

I haven't actually seen one, but I just did a search on their website and it says there should be one at the AMC theaters at DTD.

Haven't seen them at WDW, but they DO have them at the Firehouse Subs near me.

They were testing them out at Disney's California Adventure's Food & Wine Festival two years ago. It was fun, but they were very tempermental and it did take folks a while to make their choice.

I love the freestyle coke machines. We have one in the cafeteria at our hospital.

BUT, i think it would be a disaster to have them at WDW. People cant make up their minds as it is...giving them that many options would make it even worse.

We saw them there too.

They also have them at Universal.

Universal has them. I personally hope that Disney doesn't get them. Burger King's in my area have them (only one in each store) and it takes longer to get your drink since only one person can use them at a time. Also, it's way to many choices, for me at least.

I agree...we have one at our Wendy's restaurant and it took longer for my girls to find out what they wanted to drink then it did to find out what they wanted to eat :sad2:. However, the concept is really cool :thumbsup2

Does anyone know if they are or will be in TS restaurants (not necessarily WDW), just in general? Will my wife be able to order her diet, caffeine-free coke at sit-down restaurants?

They might show up at the counter service places within Disney, but I would be surprised if they showed up at the TS venues. So far, all of the places listed by PPs seem to indicate that they're at CS-type places, where the guest gets their own drinks.

Unless they want to install 30 or 40 per CS location I can't see them doing this.

Also they would never be at a TS place just because the fun of the machine is looking through the menu of drinks.

I could see it go into some niche area like Club Cool or maybe DQ but I think that would even be a stretch. This may sound odd, but it would need to go somewhere where people don't normally buy drinks to lower the demand.

As has been said - these are Freestyle Coke machines. Which means you get about 100 different Coke options. Then you can mix and match those Coke options into one drink. So think about it. One person. 100 Coke options. A person who is in Disney World and can't usually think beyond the usual menu choices. Now they have 100 options.

BUT WAIT!!!!!!!! You can now COMBINE those 100 options into whatever you want. So, the math whizes, how many options are those? And then you will have the parents who will have their kids make those choices? "Gee Jimmy, what do you want? The Brazil mixed with the Israel? Oh, you don't know what each one tastes like? Can we take a moment so Jimmy can sample each of those? *turns back to the person who knows they only want Argentina and Costa Rica* "so sorry, it'll just be a minute". Jimmy now determines he doesn't want either one of the original choices so goes back to the original point (not literally, he's still standing where he was before) and decided on two other choices but he's not tried any so we have to repeat everything. So Jimmy is finally decided but now Mary, his little sister, being bored beyond belief, comes over and Mommy wants her to have her shot (pun intended) so the nice Disney Cast Member lets her go in front of Mr. Argentina and Costa Rica. And the line grows on and on and on.

Like I said, Fast Passes for Coke Free machines at Disney World. It's Disney World, not anywhere else. Only if a fee were charged and then we'd be hearing about that too.

My son's calculator errored out but if you only pick 10 its.

17,310,309,400,000 give or take a few.

Needless to say we don't have these in the UK, we don't even get free re-fills here :rotfl2:

We tried one of these at a Fudrucker's a week or so ago. It was hit or miss for the flavor. I had a lime coke (I really liked their regular coke with lime, but now they only sell diet with lime.) and you could barely taste the lime. It was like coke with some sort of different "off" flavor to it. Then I did raspberry and it was much better. DH had cherry (so boring!) and DD tried vanilla.

Exactly. People can not decide what they want to eat when they stand in line at a Counter Service location for 10 minutes with a giant board above their heads stating all the (limited) options. Even if they decide what they want to eat, then they don't know what size drink they want.

I can't even begin to think the massive backups if Disney used these machines.
