New coaster at AK

When is the new attraction - some sort of high-speed coaster - scheduled to open at AK?

To date there has been no formal announcement from Disney regarding the opening of Expedition Everest at the Animal Kingdom
The speculation here on the boards is that Disney hopes to open this attraction on April 22 which is both Earth Day and the anniversary of the Animal Kingdom.
If this is true you can expect to read about "soft" opening of Everest I would guess sometime in February or around then. By reading these boards my DS and I were able to do the "soft" openings for Mission: Space a couple of months before the "official" opening of the ride.

We were at AK on Oct 2 and a CM there told us Everest will open in April 2006.

We were at Animal Kingdom on 10/14 - I overheard a Cast Member telling people (on the bridge between the Tree and Africa) that 'soft' opening for Expedition Everest would be in February.

CMs like to talk...sometimes they are correct and sometimes they are not! Until there is official word from Disney on the opening day, I won't believe anything!

But as wdwgoofeeee said, keep checking for soft opening info.
