Recommend a good inexpensive place to order new checks for our checking account. Any deals through southwest or ebates or anything like that anyone knows about? Please and thank you to all you fabulously knowledgeable disboarders.

My bank has always provided checks at no charge. Does your bank charge?

I had a horrible experience with checks unlimited don't use them!! I decided to order through walmart....suggestions from the :thumbsup2!

walmart. They arrive quickly, they're cheap, and you know that if your banking info gets stolen they're going to be there to back up their claims of secure transmission. I just search for personal checks when I need to reorder.

Plus they have Disney ones :mickeyjum

Oh, and you can connect thru ebates and get 1% back (not much I know but something is better than nothing).

People still use them? :lmao:

I think the only checks I've written all year were payments to ds17's school for his senior trip in March.

FWIW, our bank gives them free since dh is 50+ and we qualify for the senior checking acct.
SENIOR??!! ugh... :faint:

The last checks I bought were from Checks Unlimited years ago and had no problems at all. I do like that they offer side-tear checks. It's much easier to tear off and they come in Disney style.

My bank charges something like $26 dollars per box. I got a free box when I opened my checking account 6 years ago, and fortunately, I'm still on that same box.

My bank used to give checks, safe deposit boxes, notary, travelers checks, and cashiers checks for free if you had $5,000 in the bank. Not sure what the minimum balance is now. But since I rolled 25 years of 401k money into an IRA with them, they better not ever charge me for anything.

I still write a few a month. I find it interesting that 2 of my monthly bills have absolutely no provision for online payment or credit cards, and both are publically owned utilities. One is the County Garbage bill, the other my water bill. And my auto mechanic only takes cash or checks. But most of his clients are 50 plus and have the money to write a check for a repair.

I pay both my sewer & water through my banks online bill pay.

I've found myself writing tons of checks since my son started school! The first week of school there were like 3 different checks to the PTA (all voluntary I suppose, but still only payable my cash or check).

Does your bank suggest someone? If I go to "order checks" on my banks website they suggest a company that I thought was pretty reasonably priced.
