My bank has always provided checks at no charge. Does your bank charge?
My bank charges something like $26 dollars per box. I got a free box when I opened my checking account 6 years ago, and fortunately, I'm still on that same box.
People still use them?
I think the only checks I've written all year were payments to ds17's school for his senior trip in March.
FWIW, our bank gives them free since dh is 50+ and we qualify for the senior checking acct.
SENIOR??!! ugh...
The last checks I bought were from Checks Unlimited years ago and had no problems at all. I do like that they offer side-tear checks. It's much easier to tear off and they come in Disney style.
I rarely write a check. I do all my bill paying online. In fact my checks still have "Washington Mutual" printed on them, Chase bought them out in 2008.People still use them?![]()
I still write a few a month. I find it interesting that 2 of my monthly bills have absolutely no provision for online payment or credit cards, and both are publically owned utilities.
I pay both my sewer & water through my banks online bill pay.
