I currently have a listing with Fidelity that is about to expire in the next few days and I'm thinking about changing brokers. Would love some input on the pros and cons with any particular broker.

Thanks in advance

I think fidelity is the only one that requires you to list solely with them. Most of the others will allow you to list with other agencies at the same time.

That was one of the things that frustrated me about them. Not to mention I signed the papers and it took them 3 weeks to get me listed on their website.

I haven't been impressed with them from a buyer's perspective. I called them twice last week to inquire about two different listings. They told me both had been sold and the website is updated twice per week. That evening, the two listings disappeared. The next day, one of them was back.

Now, part of me wants to believe that they left it up to generate calls (it was a good deal) and get people on the phone. But never once did they ask for my contact info. They never asked what types of contracts I'd be interested in. They never offered any alternatives. They didn't seem interested in helping me find something to buy at all.

It's funny cause I purchased 2 contracts from them and had no problem, but I actually liked the fact they didn't ask for lots of information. I think they are more geared towards selling to experienced DVC buyers that require little contact. When I was looking, I had the same issues with the website having listings that either expired or were sold. My feeling is thy use a third party to update it and probably pay each time it's updated so they wait as along as possible to change the listings.

Now it's was frustrating as a seller waiting 3 weeks after you list with them to finally have your listing posted.

Wow 3 weeks to list it - thats crazy! When I contacted TSS with my listing I was emailed the paperwork to fill out within an hour and my listing was posted within hours of sending back the completed forms - not to mentioned sold 6 days later.

I have bought and sold through The Timeshare Store...the sponsor of the DIS DVC boards. I have had nothing but top-notch service and professionalism in every aspect of every transaction. I highly recommend them.

As others have mentioned, most brokers do not demand exclusive listings. The Timeshare Store permits multiple listing, and I think all of the other good brokers do as well.

I would have to say the Timeshare Store. I have used them twice buying and once selling and never a problem. Good communication.

That kind of happened to me- I offered asking price and then was told the seller decided to keep it and not sell. It did get taken off the site the next day but was back up a few days later. I was not called back even tho I left my info and asked to be called for similar contracts. I have a hunch she only pretended to take my number because I was after a small contract. I dont trust them now and quit watching their site.

That wouldnt happen to be a 50pts contract by any chancr because im looking for one !

I was very unimpressed with Fidelity when I called. I felt like I was bothering them. The person I spoke to was very curt and acted like he wanted me off the phone. I decided to shop elsewhere and bought through TSS.

Another 100% satisfied customer of The TimeShare Store. I have both bought and sold through them and they were incredibly professional and prompt. I won't use anyone but them. :thumbsup2

I've decided to list with them and will be faxing my paperwork today

Maybe Fidelity is just very busy right now. I called on an attractive BWV contract - $75 pp with lots of points. Told it was gone - but it stayed on their site for a number of days. They didn't even ask for my info or phone number. Paid $85 pp the very next day with TSS, and the contract was listed as sale pending within hours, removed from their listings the next day.

If Fidelity had been interested, I would have given them a couple of weeks to see if something came up. I guess the market is strong enough, there's not a need to try to find a contract for new buyers.

Please let us know how it goes. :goodvibes

UPDATE<<<<<

Listing with The Timeshare store was a seamless process... and today I received
a full price offer.... I am absolutely amazed at how efficient the staff and process has been with them. Its barely been 2 weeks and they sold my contract.

I would absolutely recommend them for all your timeshare needs.

nothing new for Fidelity. There have been some still listed over a month after sold.
