New blog up -- Culinary Quest: A Tale of Two Mexican Restaurants

Oh I love it :) great blog :cool1: I bookmarked it so I can remember the deserts lol I'll have to try the pineapple empanadas either yum or gross haha.

:rotfl: Great review, you crack me up. I have to say DH and I both loved the carne asada with enchiladas at Rancho. We actually shared and it was a lot of food, and he is NOT a sharer. Actually, as a teacher, maybe you can show him a bit about sharing!

Yay! Another great review! And I loved your diagram at the end too. :)

Love it! I am loving reading your Culinary blog posts :)

Great entry. What was your sons meal like? We are vegetarian and my boys love Mexican.

I thought it was a generously portioned kid's meal. He liked the bean and cheese burrito, and it came with spanish rice, a pre-packaged mixed fruit cup, and choice of juice, water, milk, or chocolate milk. He is 8 years old and didn't quite finish everything, so we brought the fruit cup home and he took it in his lunch for school the next day. :thumbsup2

Thanks :)

Thanks for the info! Great blog ~ we've never been to Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill - but I want to give it a go when DD & I visit DLR next - I like Tamales. I bet DD & I could easily split what you got. She doesn't eat much and it'll be hot anyways *4th of July weekend, I doubt we'll feel like eating a lot of food.

:lmao:

I love the compare and contrast - but I seem to have missed the quiZ????

We have tried Rancho, but never tried Cocina - with tamales on the menu we just may have to try it. :thumbsup2

And the funny thing about the Venn diagram - my kids go to charter school and my 2nd grader is learning about Venn diagrams. :scared1: It made me laugh - a LOT!!

Thanks for the great blog, we will be trying Troubador Tavern on our next trip in 3.5 weeks thanks to your review. :woohoo:
