SeaWorld launched a new division called SeaWorld Pictures, and released their first film "Turtle: The Incredible Journey" this past Friday, June 24th. I was recently able to interview the Emmy Award winning director of the film, Nick Stringer, and it was just posted on our blog.

In conjunction with the film's release, SeaWorld San Diego opened a brand new attraction called Turtle Reef. I get the scoop on the brand new attraction from SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment's Chief Creative Officer, Scott Helmstedter.

SeaWorld and Hannover Pictures announced "Turtle: The Incredible Journey" will be available for home viewing via DVD and Blu-ray on November 15, 2011. The suggested retail price for the DVD will be $14.95, and could be available for less than $10 with discounts and promotions. Might be a good deal for the holidays...

Has anyone seen the film yet? If so, what did you think? It hasn't made it's way to our market here in Western NY.

I heard the manatee exhibit at Sea World will be changed to a Florida themed exhibit and will add a new 3-D movie theater showing a version of this turtles movie.They also mention the penguin exhibit being moved and in it's place some sort of dark ride being added.
