I love both of the ones you quoted as well - the scene when they sing I See the Light is one of my favorites from any Disney movie and I agree Tangled brought Disney back. Maybe there is something that I connect with from Elsa in the sense that during that song she is finally able to just be her without trying to live up to the expectations everyone else has of her...I think a lot of women can probably relate to that...a time of "finding your voice."

When the movie came out there were a lot of people and groups that identified with the song and with Elsa. Women, like you, I am sure, but also heard it was a big empowerment song for LGBT people who often felt they had to hide who they really were

It's a show that seems to hit a weird demographic. My sisters (3/5/7) don't watch it, and it's not one that I ever found interesting. Where shows like Sofia, Jake, and Doc are ones that I personally can watch on my own. PJ Masks I would have to be with a child to have it on.

Elena is a whole different category where she isn't technically Disney Jr even though Sofia is.

But I wonder if recent events have shown that women can relate to "finding their voice"? I truly wonder...

we saw the sing-along version of Moana over the weekend and I was a little disapointed they only put the words on the screen when it was English being sung - I love the beginning of "We know the way" when they are speaking the native language

The problem is that "language" was made up...based on other pacific languages...it doesn't translate to anything if what I read was correct.
