New Attraction in WDW - Public Choice

I vote for Indy. Better yet, build "Journey To The Center Of the Earth" ride from Tokyo DisneySea. That's one AWESOME ride! :worship: :dancer: :dancer:

Good news for you, King Triton, Journey to the Center of the Earth may be coming to the Animal Kingdom theme park of the Walt Disney World resort. The location of it in the park is off-side of the Character Meeting area, Camp Minnie-Mickey. The ride may open during 2008-2009. :woohoo:

Maybe you could put it in the Indy show area. I can't imagine they will have two stunts shows forever.
The Indy stunt show theater is a large, valuable facility. There may be a new show in that theater some day if the Indy stunt shows ever starts playing to empty audiences — but there's no reason for Disney to demolish the theater itself.

Cloning 'Jounrey to the Center of the Earth' was considered several years ago when the PowerPoint Patrol decided Animal Kingdom needed another thrill ride to draw the kiddies. If you watch some of the old Travel Channel Disney shows you can see a hint or two about the show being put in.

That concept was dropped in favor of a much, much cheaper alternative of 'Expedition: Everest'.

The matterhorn has already come to Florida. it's called Expedition Everest legend of the forbiden mountain. only this time our yeti is more like the real yeti and not the abomidable snow man.

And the ride isn't nearly as creative.

Seriously, since the ASM in Matterhorn is 100% afterthought, it would be nearly impossible for it not to be better in that particular regard.

Calif Screaming. That is the best coaster. You get a wood & steel combo with the launch. It is sooo smooth.

I'm pretty sure WDW already has it's share of underthemed, constantly broken death trap rides.

Indiana Jones ride. Something based on Journey to the Center of the Earth sounds fun. I still miss the old Rainbow Caverns mine train -- sad that it got turned into a roller coaster.

I need to introduce you to our friend Cristen. Maybe she'll post.

Does death trap include death by boredom? Then I agree. They should hand out white lillies at the end of Stitch's Great Escape or Journey Into Imagination. Maybe change Dino-Rama! to the "Casket Carnival"... And I think Innoventions makes the E in EPCOT stand for ennui.

Wasn't there also talk of putting it in MGM to replace Catastrophy Canyon at one time?

I didn't realizing asking random Disney CM's why the ride is shut down and being told that it's for Technical Difficulties was a cavelcade of excitment.

I'm not a big coaster fan, so I'm a bit more critical then the average person, but California Screamin is constantly shut down, because the ride was poorly designed and it's widely considered to be not as good as rockin rollercoaster.

You mention some absolutly terrible attractions, but Disney is distinctly not a coaster park.

I found it a pure joy when it happened to us repeatedly with RnRC... Especially when they started bringing out the tables for the private party! I felt so bad for all those convention goers in their business casual attire. Just imagine... Disney agrees to close a ride early just so you can have it all to yourselves, and wouldn'tcha know it... it breaks down. What a coincidence!

Anyway, I don't have anything against them putting in a given coaster. I just think they are relying too much on that type of ride these days, and like with most of their new attractions, they just aren't putting in the full effort.

My point exactly. Don't get me wrong, Dumbo is a classic, but how many freakin' Dumbo rides do we need? There are three of that type at MK and one at AK.
