New AP Holder with ???s

Hi all!

DH and I just bought APs for a quick trip over Thanksgiving this year. Next fall (Ocotber, 2004) will be our big trip with extended family and I have a few questions about that trip....

1. Are the AP rates (when offered) ever good at the Home Away from Home resorts? We kind of had our hearts set on a 2 bedroom villa at the BCV.

2. Traditionally, when do these rates/codes come out for October stays? I'm thinking of making the reservations now and trying to get them modified if an AP code is released.

The AP rates are generally at least 25% off the rack rate and do include the Home Away form Home Resorts.

It looks like disney is changing the way it puts out discount codes. Check Mary site at Mousesavers. She has a historical codes listing unter the FAQ section. This may give you some idea.

You can always just book now and change to the AP rate when it comes available just by calling and requesting.

Thanks so much! I see you'll be there for Thanksgiving too. We'll be there 11/26-11/30. Have you been to Disney over this holiday before? I'm getting a little freaked out by the crowd reports! I'm planning on staying away from the MK on Thursday and trying Epcot on Friday. We'll see!
