New Android phone.....what Disney app is best?

My ever so helpful husband, who only lurks on these boards and refuses to post anything has told me that he has "Disney World Wait Times" by Phunware/Undercover Tourist.

I downloaded it and it looks really cool...however, I wish I was less than 1,357,590 yards from Space Mountain!

Mousewait is adding a WDW version (pretty cool app).

MW's been having a lot of load issues recently though - planned on using it at DL last week and the site kept crashing from so much traffic. A lot of MW's traffic is from its lounge/chat.

How accurate are these wait times? Are they input by other park guests?

I had an app last year, and it listed the last time someone updated it...and sometimes it was hours. For it to be beneficial, it would have to be updated at least every 10 minutes.

There are two versions - Disney World wait times lite (free) and the regular version - anybody know the difference?

I have the lite version DH paid for his version of the Undercovertourist app. I can not see any real difference in the two. They both had the same amount of info for parade, wait and extra magic hours. I would not pay for the full version. BTW does anyone know the significance of the color coding for each park's icon? I could not figure it out.

I use this app too, but kinda wish that the dis would port their iPhone app to the droid.

This app came in handy during my last trip.

I use the lite version as well. Someone told me the colored dots next to the park icon relates to crowd levels. Not sure if that's true or not, but it does at least sound plausible.

The paid version doesn't have any advertizing in it. I think that is the only difference, no functionality difference.

The red, yellow and green dots next to the park names relate to the crowd level in the park that day. We used the undercover tourist app last October, and it worked great. It was 1 of the original versions and didn't have all the bells and whistles it does now, but it really helped us to get on TSMM, so for free I think it was worth it. :)

I use the Touring Plans one but had to pay the $7 fee for the year..it's a great app and has chat. Tells you when the FPs are gone and what the current return times are which I don't believe Undercover does. I have UT as well but besides from being colorful doesn't help as much. I also paid for the full version but there was no diff except for the ads..like a PP said. I quickly deleted it and had the 99cents refunded. :goodvibes

The lady that heads up mouse-aid said to use the free UT one and says it works great for her. That's good enough for me. :thumbsup2

I've downloaded it, but won't get a chance to use it until October. But it is fun to look at now wishing I was at WDW eating a Mickey Bar !
