Quick question before I leave next week, my mother is flying down in the middle of the week to meet up with us a few days, what is the possibility of us getting rooms next to each other, if i fax in a request say this week?

Heh my countdown is wrong, we couldnt wait so we added 2 days to the beginning of the trip, but we are going to stay off site at the radisson, for $59 a night it seemed like a good deal :)

I just set my countdown timer today!! I can only wonder if it will make time go by faster or seem even slower. Regardless, I will be so glad when the time to go gets here. Work has about driven me crazy in the last few weeks. I need to get away BAD!!

Last year Kimmar and I had 4 consecutive rooms. Granted...a little angel called 999Ghosts probably sprinkled pixie dust, but it can be done. Just fax in your request.

boneytdc: I personally would request to be in North Wing. I have stayed in a standard room there with nap-age children and heard no noise. But if you are worried, ask to be on the 6th floor toward the end of the corridor!(near Roaring Forks elevator) [/B]

Thanks for the advice, AspiringCindy

You folks are some of the nicest people I've seen on these boards. I've been lurking for quite some time, finally decided to jump in.

Yes I have been there for the last 3 months and I dont see it getting any better, my problem is Im in IT and all I can get is contract work which is starting to get reall annoying cause they dont want to pay but they dont want an employee =/

Boneytdc,
We just went down in July and stayed in room 6060. It was a standard room over the docks, but the only time I noticed any noise was the night my DW left the balcony door open. From our balcony, we could see the castle and at night we watched the fireworks at MK. It was really nice to sit in a chair and watch the fireworks and not have to fight the crowds when they where over. Worked great for our kids too, they could lay on the bed in their PJ's and watch them. We could also see the otter pond from the balcony and watched the otters playing one morning. Hope this helps in your room decision.

Thanks for the reply Ratpack. FloridaCat mentioned that the sixth floor is a smoking floor. Did it smell of smoke?

mommie2angels: I have to confess in front of everyone. I am such a sap. I stared at your family’s picture and just lost it. I am so happy everything worked out and you had such a great time. WL Magic Forever.

Floridacat, you are very sweet! Thank you! I am glad everything worked our so well too.

We were there in July. Part of our stay was 6th floor and part 5th. I could ot tell any difference. If smoking is a problem, request 5th floor.

When we were on the 5th floor it was a easy jump to RF to fill the coffee mug and outside for a puff.

The next time we go to WDW we will have a big party, maybe 8, 4 adults,3 teens, and 1 10 y/o. I was thinking about going with a 2 bdr villa, but WOW the price was hefty. I could see about renting points from a DVCer, but I am worried about finding someone with that many points for rent(350 for March). Then i thought about getting a deluxe room that has a frig and coffemaker and seeing if there would be a standard room connecting to it, we would all fit in that also and I might get discounts on those rooms where as the Villas are not discounted that often.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this situation that might be of some help???????????;)

Also, when do Grad nights usually start?
Thanks!

Just popping in........
to say hello and goodnight!
Haven't had much time to read or post the past few days. With DS starting his freshman year in a brand new school, well, it's been a bit hectic! Hoping they wont give us a hard time about taking him out for our trip in April. May need some pixie dust for that one! Tomorrow is his birthday and also the first day with the whole school in session, so he is nervous, and I'm nervous for him. So goodnight all! Maybe I'll have time to read and post tomorrow, although I have a whole lot of catching up to do!

SHHH WL "family" asleep. Come back in the morning and they will answer your questions.

"Quietly" letting ya'll know that I have posted our trip report. Don't want to wake anyone. LOL!!! Something for ya'll to read while drinking your morning coffee from your WL mug. Our magical trip!!!

Thanks so much for helping to make our trip so magical and especially for sharing it with us!

Hesh-up, nah, or ah'll wake yee up at the butt-crack o' dawn!

Janice ~
What wonderful pix of your family! (your purple castle pic is upside down, tho' !) Is that first breakfast at 1900 Park Faire?

Ratpack ~
Didn't ducklite post from time to time on my 1st WL thread, way back when?? I kinda remember her[?] as somewhat of a trouble-maker...

Now for the gratuitous plug: HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my DS, Todd, who turns 17 today!! (he's taking his driving test as I type:( !)

Margaret,

I don't believe you can get discounts on the deluxe rooms. I've tried several times. The deluxe runs about $470/night in peak season.

Have you thought about getting 2 connecting rooms and a 3rd room right next door? Might be cheaper in the long run (if discounts are available)

Kimmar - Happy Birthday to your son! Good luck to him and his test :teeth:

Do any of you remeber what the AP rate for woods view, and standard rooms were last X-mas? Any idea if you can upgarde to concierge at check-in?

My Godson Todd behind the wheel? Oh No!
Tigger wishes you a Happy Birthday!
