It is 10:30 at night and Mr. Ratpack has plastered BIG green Mickey heads with "ratpack" on them all over my van and little ones on DS' stroller!!! He also has a hat that is red and black with yellow lettering that says: "Wanna Trade?" for his pins. We have matching outfits for the first day down there- ALL of us!!! We have so much "stuff" that was on the huge packing list posted here on the dis that we really need a uhaul to get down there safely.

Are we going to look like tourists down there?????

Y'all pray for ME! I have a 5 month old DS, a 5 year old DD, and a 35 year old DH- 3 kids!!!! I will surely need a vacation when we return! 10 hours to go and I already need calgon!!!!

I am sure DH will be posting our trip reports and everything for you ....after he books yet another trip for us next year, if not before!!

Wow! I love this thread! I think it has taken me three days to read all the posts. Thank you all for the great info and pics. My son and I are finally staying @ WL this November thanks to FTP. We have always stayed at the ASMo so this is a dream come true. Thanks again to everyone!

Corn Bread

Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground

Whispering Canyon Cafe and Trails End Restaurant

Yield: 1 Pan

Ingredients

1¾ cups all-purpose flour

¾ cup cornmeal

1¼ cups granulated sugar

1½ teaspoons salt

1 tablespoon baking powder

½ cup vegetable oil

2 each large eggs, beaten

1 cup milk

Method of Preparation

Add flour, cornmeal, salt, baking powder, and sugar together in a mixing bowl and blend.
Combine milk, eggs, and oil in another bowl and blend together; slowly add liquid to the bowl of dry ingredients; mixing as you add liquid. Mix only enough to incorporate together.
Spray a 9 x 13 cake pan with a non-stick food spray and pour the cornmeal batter into the pan. Make sure to spread evenly in the pan.
Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Hello all!

I've been reading along and wanted to say hi! My fiance and I will be honeymooning at WL courtyard view in just 2 weeks woo hoo! I am in Disney withdrawal (last trip was Dec 01 at GF) and it is my soon to be hubby's first trip ever! Can you imagine, never been to Disney

Anyways, this thread has gotten me really excited to see the Lodge again. I saw it once at Christmastime but have never stayed there. Thanks for the great info! We'll be faxing a room request and it was all more than helpful!

Oh and kimmar, sorry to hear your trip was cancelled. Here's hoping you'll be heading back down soon

Kimmar - sorry to hear your trip's been cancelled. Same thing kinda happened to me. We were planning a big family trip for next year, but all of a sudden my sister now doesn't want to go to Disney She wants to go to Universal instead and the rest of the fam is going with her (except me).
