Majestic - I finally was able to view the WL photo gallery (@ work there is a fire wall so I pushed to get my home computer connected). I would like to give you some pictures when we return in November - do I need them to be digital or can I just send them to you.

Any photos I should REALLY take or should I say any photos we need?

MLbooks - I love the journal idea. My DS9 has to complete one for an assignment for school. Yesterday I purchases an izone camera @ wally world on clearance for $5.50 so he can take photos and journal while we're there. I also love the idea about asking the CM the same question. Great ideas!

I'll make sure to put a photo in the box.

?? Any other questions my DS could ask for his journal? Any ideas?

Cool pic! Thanks for bringin' it back for me. :) So far I have seen two impressions of what the bear is. This is one of them. :)

Thanks again!

I've been tagged!!!! :Pinkbounc :teeth: I am beside myself with pride!

Kimmar thanks for the tag help...we are all so lucky to have found each other on this thread!!!::yes::

crazy4themouse.....If it's not too much to ask I would love a few more pics to add to the awesome screensaver FC directed for us: specifically a pic of the lobby fireplace and also a front view of the little bridge area in the lobby where the spring starts (I tried to get this but my pic had too much glare from the sun, so if you try this I recommend getting it in the very early morning). Thanks for the offer!

MLbooks....glad you had fun with the country ??....that's great that the CM added to the magic!

You cannot simply VISIT the WL (ie: PS's at WC or AP) but had to have stayed there AT LEAST once (4 or more days). Also, you must contribute regularly to our FAQ thread and must have helped AT LEAST 2 other "newbies". (posting occasional pix of Hugh Jackman gets you "in like Flynn", tho'!:teeth: :rotfl: ) There are several "WL Vet" inductees which I am trying to get tagged....

Kimmar, this was what I was trying to convey, just not as detailed. Thanks for picking up my slack!!;)

Go to Majestic's WL Photo site. He has the lobby pics in a seperate folder. I just sent in a pic of the bridge and spring.

Fred,
Here is what the bear face looks like. Sorry it is grainy looking but here at work we have cheap software.

Bear Face

That is one version; the one I am pointing out is the one the CM showed us and Fred captured.. His eyes are on either side of the Tee Pee light fixture and the Cupolas are his ears. In Ratpacks version the Cupolas are his eyes.

Hey FloridaCat, how's the weather down that way? I am about 1 month away from a weekend get away and wondered if I might be able to hit the beach while down there (Jacksonville).

THat is the one I know Tim. Funny thing is I grabbed both of them in one picture. :)

Should be fine, but it's pot luck this time of the year. We are still 80+, but next week they are saying mid 70's, for us it's WHOO HOO.

Here is Channel 6 link and you can keep an eye on it. Check the water temp as that is what we look at for swimming.

Just logged on and saw my new WL Vet tag...I'm not worthy.

Great surprise last night; we had returned from MK and the fireworks, had tucked the Princesses in and were just about asleep, when we heard the fireworks again!! I think this was a preview of the show which debuts Thursday. It is definitely bigger and better, with a few new displays which I won't give away for those heading down soon. To be able to watch the fireworks without even getting out of bed was unbelievable:eek:

Heading back to Epcot in a couple of hours for dinner and more touring.

Weather great so far.

*Thinking* about going back in Jan. Would like the Deluxe room this time. I noted the rack rate. Would there ever be a discount on this type of room, either now, or later in the year? What is the view like? Someone told me they are on the very ends of the lodge facing the lake. I also noted the honeymoon suite is slightly under the price. What is the difference in the rooms? *LOL*, we're diffently not on a "honeymoon", but we can "pretend" for the right price & room.

All you pros -- what times are the flag family activities done? Is there one in the morning and one in the evening? We like to get an early start to our days -- always do EE. Would the morning flag family be done early enough?

Thanks for the help. Only a couple more weeks! :boat:

crazy4themouse.... pretty cool, huh?

Okay everyone on the WL FAQ thread . I have a question... I have seen THE FAMOUSE (oops, typo... but it's cute so I'll leave it!) BOX! The one, the only the original by Majestic AND I have left a message inside. I have taken 2 photographs which in no way disclose where the box is, as there is no background or frame of reference. What I want to know is... would you like me to post the pics as part of the fun, or would you rather not. The most votes wins and I will wait a week until we see what the majority wants. I will abide by the decision of the judges!:p

I will also put a link to the poll in my sig! Let me know what you think!

Kimberle-- I don't think they ever discount the deluxe rooms! I know alot of people take 2 connecting rooms for a cheaper price than the deluxe!

Sandi-- When we were Flag family we met Ranger Stan at 7:30 AM, then went to roof to raise the flags!! We received a certificate and some great rooftop scenery!! Be sure to ask to sign up at check-in as the list is usually long! We were not told anything about an evening ceremony! Maybe someone else would know!! Here is info I found for you:It was on Debs Unofficial Walt Disney Site!

The Wilderness Lodge Flag Family of the day gets to climb up to the roof of the Wilderness Lodge and assist with raising the flags for the day. (At one time you could also take the flags down, but that has stopped). It's a wonderful treat that can only be requested at check-in, prior reservations

Well, DH, DS and I just returned from our stay at WL...actually we returned a few days ago, but we have been busy getting my husband packed and ready for his return to Kunsan AB in Korea (only 6 more months to go!!)

I have to say we LOVED the lodge! The concierge staff went out of their way and got us most everything we asked for. Our mousekeeper, Diana, was wonderful and we had towel animals everyday! The courtyard view from our room (7053) was just fine...although I now know to get a room on the fifth floor and just get access to the concierge floor...I did not like the closed balconies on the seventh floor. Oh and the beds...LOL! it was more comfortable than our bed at home! Does anyone know what brand mattresses and pillows are used at the WL?

The weather was wonderful last week! We made it to the pool everyday! The crowds were LOW during the week...but once the weekend came, it was almost too much to bare with a 16 month old and a stroller! We opted for a morning at EPCOT followed by a long day at the pool on Saturday. I think we made the right decision too. My sister and BIL took their childern to MK for the day and night on Saturday. She said it was awful crowded and people were getting getting pushy and rude! :(
We also attended MNSSHP on Friday...it was fun, but crowded again the whole stroller thing...) We would definatley do it again though...it was fun to see a different parade and fireworks show.

We are very happy that we decided to become DVC members and look forward to many more WDW trips! It is sad to be home already, but I am looking at planning a week long Disney trip for next November so we can enjoy the Food and Wine Festival and maybe a short 3-day cruise....

There used to be an evening ceremony with no morning one. They switched it around. There aren't two a day for sure.

For our stay a few weeks ago, we were told to meet renger stan at 8:15am in the lobby then went straight up. I remember waking up that morning and going out on the balcony to watch the sun rise.

I miss the lodge. :(
