Yes, I believe it is 6.00. The regular parking lot is next to it and it is not a bad walk.

I second the Yankees & Cubs.

HMMMM!!! Tough question. LOL Really, get the Cub blue in your veins and your are hooked for life. Would like to come up with the ticket for when they are down here, but that will be tough as there are a million Cub fans down here.

anybody notice anything new down at the bottom of my post??

Whoo HOO!!!

Yes it's $6 a day. Take note not to do what I did. I gave the valet the $6 plus a tip whenever I parked. When I went down to check my charges on the room I saw a bunch of valet charges on there and I had already paid them. Turns out that the valet is NOT supposed to take payment for the parking! I specifically told the valets that parked my car what the cash was for. As in, "Here's the $6 for valet and a little something for you."

Be carefull! I was taken and wonder how many other people have been. If you do a express checkout you may not find out till later.

Fortunately, the front desk understood my complaint and removed the charges. Over $30.

Hope this helps.

Also......GO YANKEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Yankees Cubs World Series would be awesome. I hope it happens.

How many visits to the WL do you need to get vet status? :earsgirl:  ::MickeyMo

Majestic,

Your tip definetly helps...thanks. I'm going to try and not use my car much when I am there since we are driving down from Jersey. I am going to go with WDW Transportation other than DTD.

Corky

thanks for changing your picture...you made my day :)

Anybody been watching the Redsox series? It's been an exciting series to watch. I hope they win, just to have the Yankees beat them.....again..........and continue the curse of the Bambino!!!

I believe the going rate is ............1!!

When you return, you will be considered at Vet because while down there, you will want to explore the lodge so much and find out everything you can.

You cannot simply VISIT the WL (ie: PS's at WC or AP) but had to have stayed there AT LEAST once (4 or more days). Also, you must contribute regularly to our FAQ thread and must have helped AT LEAST 2 other "newbies". (posting occasional pix of Hugh Jackman gets you "in like Flynn", tho'!:teeth: :rotfl: ) There are several "WL Vet" inductees which I am trying to get tagged....

We made it!:sunny: The Lodge is everything you all said it was. Got room 5032, which not only overlooks the otterpond, but has a perfectly framed cutout in the trees framing the Castle. The princesses were thrilled.

Everything great so far. I will post full reports upon returning. I am actually writing notes at night.

DD5 is yelling at me to take her to the beach, gotta go.

:bounce: I had to post so I could see my timer :Pinkbounc

Not many days left for me before I am at the Lodge

Wishing everyone a Tagged night

Corky: You are welcome and I am sooo glad you are enjoying it.
Congrats on your new tag. Welcome

All newly anointed “WL VETS” will kindly face towards the East. Give a respectful bow to the most Noble Keeper of the Thread.

Congratulation you are now official members of Kimmars Merry Band of WL VETS

OOH - THANK YOU, tag fairy for my new tag! But being a WL VET means that our trip is over and now we're back home.

I am working on my trip report, but also trying to get the kids caught back up at school. I'm having them do a journal - printing pictures and having them write about them. Also, they asked a CM at each Epcot country "When a visitor goes to your country, what is the one thing they should see." CM Jenn B in Canada was so excited that they asked her for information, she gave them each a Magical Moments certificate, a Canada pin, a Disney Heroes (for CMs only) pin, and a coffee crisp (yummy Nestle candy bar with a hint of coffee...) BTW - the beaver tails stand wasn't open.

Another magical moment - one night around 9:45pm, as we looked out our room in the direction of MK (we were in room 4082) lobby woodsview room, we saw fireworks going off. I knew they had done FITS at 7:30 that night. I think we got to see a preview of Wishes, the new fireworks show. I was surprised that we were able to see it from our room at WL.

Anyway, more later...

Mary

Thanks Kimmar for helping to get my new status. ;)
Just for you (although you've prolly seen it before)

FloridaCat,
Thanks so much for the information on the time change. It looks like we will have to leave a little earlier on our trip to the World!!! You won't hear any complaints from this end. :Pinkbounc

Hopefully, if we get there early enough on Saturday to check in, we will have a chance at Flag Family!!

Congrats to everyone on their new tags. Can't wait to be an official WL Vet after our November trip. After reading about everyone else's trip, I can hardly contain my excitement.

Someone mentioned going to the different floors to explore, what types of things should we look for?

Have a great night!! Gotta go back to ebay and find that Dalmation costume for Halloween!!

Each floor has some type of early American art work or display. 4th floor has a display of the rocks that are in the fireplace, that are from the Grand Cayon. Also there are relics in the fireplace that you can see from differnt floors.

There are nice sitting areas and lookouts where you can see the different views from the Lodge.

Take the main evelavter up to any floor and you can walk out to see th lobby.

You can watch the MK fireworks from the hal windows where the two North wings intersect.

Ask the front desk for the Hidden Mickey's sheet.
