Never Been to WDW. Need Advice for 1 Day

Is the family, minus golfers, going to Epcot for the day? I know $100 is a shock price, but if you want to spend time with them at the park, you might want to go with them. It is a joy to see the kids having a great time. And they probably want to show their Auntie all the cool stuff. There is a lot of walking at Epcot, all the parks actually, so if you decide to go, wear good walking shoes.

Whatever you decide, have a great time!

Epcot is a wonderful place to spend a day, even without rides. (Although I recommend Living With the Land because it's got some really cool bits.) There are a number of fun things to do, but if you're just not interested, $100 is a LOT.

There are some exceptional restaurants at the resorts and at Disney Springs. I am sure if you told us what you like we could guide you to something you'd enjoy that doesn't require theme park tickets.

I have no idea if this is the case with OP or not, so I'm not talking about her specifically, but in general I'm always surprised about how many people summarily dismiss WDW because they "don't like amusement parks" or "think it's for little kids" even though they've never actually been there. And it's sort of hard to really explain to people what it is because you really have to see it to understand. I think a lot of people who have never been, and quickly dismiss it, think it's something akin to Six Flags but with a big mouse running around. As those of us here know, WDW is so much more than that. I don't begrudge anyone who has no interest in it, that's just a personal choice. I just think some of the disinterest from them is from lack of understanding what it really is. I don't know I've met someone who has gone for the first time and came back saying "Wow, I really hated that". I certainly don't know a ton of first timers, but the ones I do have all been shocked at what reality of the place is vs. their mental image. When I'm in the parks, I love looking for people with "My First Visit" buttons and seeing the looks on their faces.

I've never been to WDW. I will be going with my brother and his family. They have a villa. I will be a guest. Due to some rules I don't understand (and don't need to) it seems I need to get a ticket to one of the parks for a day so as to be able to accompany them to dinner at Epcot. I really have no interest in rides or such...especially in late July. What are some indoor options for me to fulfill the ticket requirement to be able to go to Epcot with them.

It sounds like we've over-answered you, but I'd just like to add whatup with someone who invites you to have dinner at a place that will cost you $100 to get in, knowing it's a place that's not your cup of tea? That's tacky. Sigh, siblings.
