I am on leaving Friday and don't know a thing about US or IOA. I despise rollar coasters and being dropped.
I'm trying to poke around the US website to get an idea of the rides and what I should add on our must do list, but I'm having some trouble.

Can you help me. We are a family of 4 with pre-teens.

My DH and DS do like coasters but DH can't do simulated rides very well where I like them as long as I don't get dropped for real.

Can anyone help me comprise a list??

I can't do big coasters or anything that spins too much (inner ear/balance issues). I can ride small/kiddie coasters since they don't go upside down or have huge drops. I can ride everything in Universal Studios. The only ride you might want to avoid in there is Revenge of the Mummy. I can do it fine, once a day. It a smaller indoor roller coaster and, in my opinion, one of the best rides due to the themeing of it. If your can do Big Thunder Mountain at WDW you can do this. I also have to ride the stationary seat in Jimmy Neutron (simulator) and close my eyes in a few parts. Honestly, once I rode it once I haven't again as it give me some issues. We haven't been there since the Simpons opened up (another simulator) but some people have reported feeling a bit ill on it. We're going in two weeks and I'll try it once - I can always close my eyes.

In Islands of Adventure I'll do everything except the Hulk, Dr. Dooms Fearfall, Dueling Dragons and Storm Force Accelerator (?) next to the Hulk (think teacups). Spiderman is a simulator ride and is fantastic. I do have to close my eyes on the "down" part, but the rest is fine. I can also ride the Flying Unicorn (small rollercoaster) once a day and that's it for me.

Make sure you see the Hollywood Horror Make-up Show (across from Mel's Drive In) in Universal Studios. Its one of the best shows I've seen.

Have fun.

jimmy neutron also has stationary seats.

take in all the shows.
animal planet, horror make up show, sinbad, posieden adventure, beetlejuice r review and fear factor.

there are plenty of rides you can do as a family that are not coasters.
ET, T2, jaws, shrek in the stationary seats, JN, disaster, etc at the studio side.

check the universalorlando.com website.
look at the interactive map for the rides for each park.

read about the rides on that main page to get an idea on what it curtails on the rides.

go and enjoy, have a fun trip!

Thanks for the replies thus far...I am taking notes.
Is fear factor open past this week?
I'm confused by the website which says Open April 4th – 18th ???.
