NetFlix Reviews wanted..

My brother did that, gets it on his xbox (you must pay for gold membership for this though). He said the only thing he missed was sports.

My husband won't give up the dish because of sports but we have cut out all the movie channels and we really enjoy netflix. The kids get the most use out of it on instant watch seeing old cartoons and things. We have it on the wii and the xbox and 1 dvd out at a time. I think that is plenty.

I just got our Netflix and installed it over the last weekend. One question, it seems to retrieve stuff about every 15 minutes when we were watching a movie or TV show, is this normal or do I need to do something different? We have AT&T for our internet service, if that makes a difference. Maybe I need a faster connection?

:thumbsup2 We've had netflix for about a month and we LOVE it!!! We started watching TV series that we didn't watch before, like Friday Night Lights. We have a few seasons to catch up on. We are a movie loving family so it has been very good for us especially during the summer when our regular tv shows aren't on. We get one dvd at a time for $8.95 but we stream through the Wii and laptops all the time. I haven't been to a redbox in a month!

We're probably going to Grandma's for a few weeks around Christmas. We'll be taking our Wii with us and it just occured to me that I may be able to stream our Netflix at her house while we're there.

Has anyone taken their Wii with them and streamed?

I haven't tried that but if you have a laptop and take that, you can stream on there.

Normally, if you are streaming movies, the lowest-priced high-speed internet services won't work (as the speed associated with low prices wasn't meant to handle so much bandwidth).

Correct. Most Entry-level DSL is less than 1 Mbit/sec, which is fine for songs, but not video.

You should be fine - It is machine based with the Wii (don't forget your disc!) when you enter in the auth code.
