Neil Entwistle guilty or innocent

The jury has the case and the defense did not cross examine or put anyone on the stand today. they are saying that Ms. Entwistle committed suicide. Pretty good since she was able to kill herself and her baby and then go all the way to her step dad's and put the gun in his case and then put the keys to the gun case in Neil's car which was left at the air port. Of course my vote woudl be GUILTY. The analysists are predicting a verdict tomorrow. Since we do not have death penalty in Mass. they do not have to worry really. He can have like a million appeals.

I did not know about the gun being returned and the keys in the car at the airport...

What else would they need a video tape of the killing??

I have not really followed the case...though I did hear the part about her brother cleaning the gun , before they knew it was the murder weapon.......poor kid.......

It better be guilty....

This story is on UK news too (with him coming from the UK), Ive followed it on and off and I cant understand why he fled back to UK - seems fishy to me. DH thinks hes innocent said he doesnt look the type, Im not so sure, I think he did it. The verdict will be interesting. Only hope if found guilty he is kept in USA because with our justice system he will be free in a few years.

Wow, what type of sentence do they usually hand down in a case like this? I can't understand a sentence of a few years for homicide.

Oh he would probably get 'LIFE', which in the Uk is about 15 years lol, and then if hes very good and doesnt pose a threat to society he would be let out earlier for good behaviour. I have a very strong opinion that our justice system needs a complete revamp and tightening up in all areas.

His actions sure point to guilty. Reminds me of Scott Peterson (S.P. left the country & N.E. was in the process of leaving the country).

Slightly OT, did anyone see the article in Parade Magazine on Sunday about, "Eraser Killers" (something like that). The author wrote a book about murderers that choose to kill because a person (or persons) stand in the way of their desired lifestyle. She coined the term. Interesting reading. I think N.E. case fits the profile to a "t".

I need to get that book.

He really left himself totally defenseless. I mean, he couldn't claim it was an intruder (not with her DNA on the stepfather's gun locked in the cabinet 40 miles away) ... he couldn't claim that he'd never been home that night (he confessed it right off the bat) ... the defense attorneys had NOTHING. I'm sure the jury will find him guilty tomorrow. It's such a sad story. She was just a year older than me and when I look at her pictures, I see so much warmth and friendliness within her.

He said he put it back because when he found her and she had killed herself and the baby, he did not want to "sully" her reputation.
Maybe he thought the justice system was as the earlier poster from the UK said was not all that severe, she said Life means 15yrs. NOT that our justice system is more severe sometimes. Too bad for him Judge Maria Lopez had a tv show now and is not still sitting on the bench.

Then again...he goes on the internet after they are dead and looks at porn?? Do you think he was just trying to take his mind off it?? I am surprised that they did not use the insainity defense. Maybe he found some lawyers who defended him because they had to and could not stomach him either.


I forgot about Susan Smith although I do not know how I could. What about the woman who drowned her kids in the bathtub? I cannot remember her name. I truly think she was ill but Susan Smith...well I only hope she lives in Texas or Fla. When you think of all the people who WANT to adopt kids so much to that they go to a foreign country and pay all kinds of fees(bribes?) to get one and then this +++++ kills the poor babies.

I love the way you put "jump" in parenthesis! I agree he "jumped" and if he did not jump I bet he would have shot himself with no powder burns on his hands.

By the way Chuck is buried near one of my relatives, there used to be a blond who would visit his grave everyday. I know this because the spouse of my relative who is buried near chuck went every day to the cemetary and saw her there.
