Neighbors Dog pooping in front of my house

I don't think my neighbors would let me put a collar on their dog.

Besides, why should Ihave to incur an expense to keep their dog from doing its business in my yard?

That solution was meant for the one or two people who have posted on this thread saying they are the culprits and don't know what to do. Or could be used as a suggestion to neighbors in areas that don't allow fences.:thumbsup2

I too have had problems with other people's dogs. I actually put up a fence to keep a large boxer out of my yard. I was tired of the poop and I was afraid of him coming out when the kids were out since we didn't know him. Was it what I wanted to spend my money on... no, but I am sure glad I did it.

DH would shovel toss the dog poop back into the neighbors yard too but they were clueless. I work with my neighbor. One day I walked into the mailroom as she was telling someone how clean her dog was because she won't potty in her own yard so she comes to MY yard. :headache: I told her right then that I was tired of her dog using my yard as a toilet. She then tried to tell me that she poops in the back where it is wooded. Um, no she doesn't. And even if she did it's still MY yard. The next day they started taking her out on a leash. That dog has since died and they have another dog. I haven't seen this dog off leash but a few times.

I know what you mean, I pulled up in my garage not long ago and a big old german sheppard ran in when the door opened. I had to wait for him to run back out because I didn't know him and was a little worried that he might not like me :)

We had a neighbor where their dog got all the time - she said always said "I don't know how the dog gets out"! It would always come down the street by our house and go on our grass, my DH got tired of it and the one day went to their house and told them to come pick up the poop!

They did!!

Dr Foster & Smith have a Pawz Away system that is supposed to keep animals away.

They also carry a bad smelling/ tasting pepper mix called Critter Ridder that is sprinkled on the grass to keep pets away.

Our neighbbors got two yappy weiner dogs that would head straight for our yard to mostly pee...I still didn't like it as my kids like to go barefooted. If they pooped the neighbor was right there to pick it up but I took exception to the dogs using my yard for their bathroom. When I told my neighbor my objections she said it's just pee..I pick up the poop..as if that made it ok. They've since put up an invisible fence to keep the dogs in but it has ruined our relationship and we don't have too much to do with each other anymore.

I have the same issue with the neighbor's dogs and I call them to come clean it up or I'll call Animal Control since we have a leash law.

Thanks this is what I was looking for. :)

arggg... this was my life last summer. My house has a shared driveway with the house next door. My neighbors would tie their dogs up at the very end of their grass so the dogs would cross the drive way and come poop in my yard, right next to the filter of my pool. My dh went next door and told them they needed to come clean it up. They told my husband, prove it's from our dog, you have a dog to.. my dh was like are you kidding me, the poop is bigger then my dog. We have a 5 lb yorkie you have 2- 60 lb pit bulls.
Dh started throwing it back in their yard. Thank fully they moved.

I had a women who would walk her dog threw my flower beds and in my fenced area. The dog was NEVER on a leash. She would sit on my deck while her dog did his thing and she would leave. After about 5 times telling her to get out of my yard and put her dog on a leash. She would say" he isn't a pet he is my son" I called the police and had them tell her that next time she was in my yard she would be getting a tresspassing compliant. Also if her dog was out of her yard again with out a leash she would be getting a ticket for that too. She slammed the door in the policemans face. But i haven't seen her since or her dog.

You are being to nice. Tell them again to keep their dog out of your yard if they don't have a policeman tell them.

Sounds like you live next to a nut case.

...All I can think of is Jim Carrey pooping on his neighbors lawn in some movie, because his neighbors dogs poo'd on his lawn:lmao:

I have what you need - my DH!!! :lmao: He's a stay at home dad so he's home a lot. Anyway, we have this neighbor from somewhere down the block. I couldn't tell you where he lives. Anyway, he has these two terriers and he used to let them poop on our front lawn. DH only needed to see this once and he lost his temper. Guy had no bag with him and had no intention of cleaning up after them.

Let's just say that this guy walks his dogs on the other side of the street now. :rolleyes1
