still trying to find a way to go to Washington DC next month, even with unexpected death of heat pump. i'm considering using priceline, but hesitate to do so, as i have no idea what area to bid on. which areas are best? i need something close a metro stop, as i understand driving around washington DC is a nightmare and parking prices are outrageous. are there any outlying areas where i may get a cheaper room that are close to the metro? TIA!

i've been reading on betterbidding.com and biddingfortravel.com, but am still hesitant for some reason. any and all suggestions are welcome!
