some kind of fun Disney gift that we can have sent to the resort for our check in. We will be celebrating our DS 5th birthday while we are there. I have looked at WDW Florist, and not really what I was thinking. More gift baskety, but without a stuffed animal, as he has asthma.

Any thoughts or ideas?

Do you think I could make one and ship it ahead?

Suggestions welcome!!!

Some people over on the cruise board posted some gift basket tips. Here's a link to that thread: click here

It looks like this site is pretty well-liked to order gift baskets from: The Perfect Gift

I don't have a great idea for the gift itself (perhaps a Mickey Mouse shirt or something else interesting?), but my idea is whatever the gift, include a personalized note to your son from Mickey Mouse (or his favorite character), telling him how happy he is he came to visit him, how his (Mickey's) friends are all excited, too, and how they all can't wait to meet him. I know your 5 year old can't read whatever note you write to go along with the gift, but my 5 year old absolutely flipped when we received a postcard from a "Postcard Pixie" and I read him the message that Mickey can't wait to see him this spring. He'd been asking to go to WDW for months, and we used the card to break the good news to him. I swear, he was MORE excited about getting a postcard from Mickey Mouse than he was about actually going to WDW!

I'm still working on this, but here's what I have planned, so far. Disney store has t-shirts for kids 3 for $22. I've got a new disney t-shirt for each boy, for each day we are going to the WDW parks, themed, when possible. I'm going to order the Guest of Honor badges that look like the CM badges, once they are back in. Buzz Lightyear will mail them to the boys, just a few days before we leave. I'm working on getting them some cool hats and may just get the Mickey ear hats and monogram their names on them. I'm hoping I can pass them to a stewardess on the plane and have her "find" them and say they were sent by Mickey. They'll be a note saying how excited he is that they are coming. I've already spoken to POR about paying for Pal Mickey's a day or two before we leave and having them in our room, before we go up. Hoping with the anniversary that there might be a Mickey and Goofy or something, instead of buying two identical Mickey's. I have already booked the Family Magic Tour, which they boys will know nothing about. They are getting Disney $$ for birthdays, Valentine's day, etc. plus earning it for chores, so they will be buying their own souvenirs. We've explained that once the money is gone, it's gone, so they need to not buy the first things they see. I've got a number of months to go, so I'm trying to spend the money, in little bits. I'm working a lot, trying to pay for this trip.
