Need support!!

I know, that some of you think of this as a minor thing, but I have been extremely worried, nervous, but also excited.

Today is our NYSSMA solo festival. I play trombone, and currently doing a very difficult level 5 (out of 6). The reason I'm so nervous is that you are judged, and last time I played in solo fest, I had a not-so-nice judge. I only got a 91/100, and for me, a perfectionist, this isn't a good grade.

So, please keep me in prayer if possible, and I will update to tell how well I did! Thanks,

Just dont be nervous, the more nervous you are the worse it comes out to be, because you cant concentrade straight.

Just relax and let it come naturally. You've probably practiced enough that it's completely memorized.

Oh darn, now I'm sick! I have been felling crumby all day- decided to check my temperature. Turns out I have 101.6 degree fever...I really hope my parents don't make me stay home- this is probably the most important event to me this year...

One time when I took my kid and her friends to one of these it was very funny.

My dh friend plays the trombone too. When it was her turn to go in she threw a rag down on the floor. The judge said "what is that?" She said "it's my spit rag." The judge looked at her and said "young lady if you are going to play a man's instrument, you need to learn how to spit on the floor." She put her hands on her hips and said "Man's Instrument? What do you mean Man's instrument?" The judge started laughing and that helped to break the ice.

I am sure you will do well.

WOOT!!! Thanks for all the support, I reached my goal and am very excited. I got a 98/100, only lost 2 points on sight reading- but hey, trombones don't usually play in the key of D in 6/8!
