I need to buy a pair of very comfortable sandals...It seems as if lately my heels kill after any bit of walking!! Anyone have a recommendation of a good brand???
Thanks for your help.

I too need recommentations. I find that tennis shoes ALWAYS rub my feet wrong, and leave blisters even when worn for a short time. I have big feet :confused3 . I prefer sandals and flip-flops as well. I am going in the summer and want something easy and cool. Are there such a thing as flip flops with support that are comfortable for a theme park day of walking???? My arches need support as well. I tend to wear slip on mule type and open toe shoes for work, and I know tennis shoes would be agony after a few hours. Any suggestions??

My favorite sneakers are New Balance. Never had a blister with them. I've worn them for 10+ years. If you're looking for a flip flop, Teva Mush are pretty darn comfy. My husband wore Chacos sandals for a couple of park days and found them to be quite comfortable...and he had a broken foot at the time, so that says a lot!

I alternate b/t New Balance and Crocs. The NB on shorter days b/c they tend to rub my pinky toe even w/ moleskin. But last trip was my first time with Crocs, and yeah you either love them or hate them. I was sort of in the middle. But one day of 8am to closing the park at 1am, not one ounce of foot pain, I'm am a Croc believer. No heel pain, no blisters, nothing.

My MOST FAVORITE pair are, believe it or not, Teva Mush flip flops!!

I was dubious at first; I was sure that only sneakers would provide the support I needed for a full week at Disney.

But those flip flops are wonderful!!!!

I got them on sale at www.sierratradingpost.com For our last trip, I got a pair for everyone in the family and a spare pair for me!!

Thanks I'm going to check them out now :)

Sandals: Chacos, Born, or Keen

I don't care if the Crocs are vented or not, the plastic or rubber or whatever it is, is not comfortable without socks IMO.

I am going in 10 days with my first pair of Teva Mush. I also got another style of Teva flip flop, but walking around the house, I can tell they aren't going to be as comfy. But, I will alternate these 2 pairs of flipflops and a pair of flats that are really cute. I will wear my Uggs if it's cold. I don't like sneakers unless I'm running, but I'll have them with me for my morning runs, so if the other shoes aren't comfy, I CAN wear them, I guess.

The mush flipflops are amazing the moment you step into them. I just hope they hold up.

CROCS!!!! And some of their styles are actually quite cute. I just got new flip flops from them that have the same Croc footbed, but they're well...flip flops. And they aren't hard to walk in the way some flip flops can be.

Mine did.

The only reason I bought a 2nd pair for our second trip was that I wanted pairs in two different colors.

I always wear Crocs and I like the capri flip flops but I like the looks of the Teva. Is the price a good price or do they always sell for this price on this site. In other words, would it pay to buy now instead of waiting to closer to our June trip?

That's a decent price for them. I've never found anywhere cheaper than Sierra Trading Post's sales.

If you like the colors, I would buy a pair now for everyone going :)

Which ones...It looks like there are different styles..which ones are more comfortable??? Flip flops ,clogs??? I'm on the Website now!
The shipping is very expensive to Canada! Not worth it!!! Even with the sale... $22 shipping for 0-$30 order!!!! OH well..I'll look on Ebay!

I haven't worn them for a full-day at the parks (they are fairly new), but love my Croc Mammoths. They keep your feet nice and toasty, and are sooo comfortable, so I am going to give those a try this trip. They may not be the prettiest shoe in the closet (far from it!!), but comfort is starting to become more important.

As you can probably guess, I alternate between Earth shoes and Birkenstocks. I love, love, love Rainbow flip flops but there is not enough support for all day walking.

Hi

I recommend Merrell sandals. There are a couple of different styles to choose from.

I used to always wear sneakers to the parks, but wanted my feet to be cooler. I didn't think I could wear flip flops for commando park touring.

Someone recommended Merrell's to me and I bought a pair. They were great. I didn't break them in in advance, just put them on for the first time on the way to the park this past October. I now have 3 different pairs in different styles. One is the Siren Lyric, one is the Pesaro, and I don't remember the name of the other one.

Zappos is great because you can order them and they don't charge for shipping either way so it's easy to return if you end up not liking them.

If your feet hurt it can easily ruin your day and your travelling companions since you'll be complaining ;)

Happy shoe shopping.
