Hi there!

I would like any suggestions on Bahamas excursions for Castaway Cay and Nassau. What do you do? Any tips? Traveling with 3 adults. Open to anything. We even love sightseeing.

We've done a walking tour in Nassau from the Unofficial Guide to Disney Cruises. That was enjoyable.

In January, we're doing the Tru Bahamian Nassau Food Tasting and Walking Tour. I've read good things about it here and on TripAdvisor. We were supposed to do it in October, but our cruise went to Mexico instead. The company said I could e-mail them with the dates for our next cruise and we'd be good to go - our certificate wouldn't expire. :)

We have done Atlantis, a glass bottom boat tour and our all time favorite, Greycliffe Chocolatier in Nassau.

For CC, we have done the Stingray adventure, biked around the island and snorkeling. They also offer jet skis, parasailing and other options that might appeal to an all adult group.

We will be going on our first cruise on the Wonder. For Nassau we have decided to do a self guided walking tour. I Googled "self guided walking tour of Nassau" and got some great ideas and maps.

We are undecided for Castaway Cay. I will watch your posts for ideas offered to you. :thanks:

Atlantis is an interesting ride and a pretty impressive hotel. Nice tour. The chocolate factory is fun, not a great drive or facility (unless you explore Greycliffe on your own after the tour), but you do get a LOT of chocolate to take home! Lots of folks like the Pirate Museum, a short safe walk from the ship.

Castaway Cay? Biking and snorkeling. Glass bottom boat for those who prefer less physical activities. Jet skis are cool and expensive, parasailing is cool but short, and the last time we went we were extremely offended by the off color jokes they told during the safety briefing.

What did you like about Greycliffe ?

It was informative and fun! We learned about the history of Greycliffe, as well as the different aspects of making chocolate. Then we actually made chocolate bars and used chopped almonds, coconut, etc to decorate truffles, strawberries and the actual large chocolate bar. At the end, they packaged the chocolate in these really nice Greycliffe boxes. You can take it back on the ship with you, but must finish all of it before debarkation. This was not an issue. :) I have a couple of pictures.

In Castaway Cay I would suggest doing the 5K and the kayaking tour which was a lot of fun. I'm a certified master scuba diver so I always go scuba diving at every port I can. The water in Nassau was absolutely wonderful teaming with all sorts of fish and other aquatic wildlife, therefore I would definitely recommend some sort of water activity in Nassua. If you are a certified diver I highly recommend a dive trip.
