I'm looking for a room off site real close to downtown disney,we are family of 4,includes 2 kids 16,17. I do not want to spend a lot of money for one night, but I do want clean accomodations. Also can I get some recoomendations for dinner, maybe even a .

Thanksreal good inexpensive buffet

We have stayed at several of the Dowtown Disney hotels and have found them to be an exceptional value for the location. Located on Disney property directly across the street from the entrance to DTD, we were able to walk to the shops and restaurants in less than 10 minutes. These hotels also offer complimentary transportation to and from the Disney theme parks in buses that are far more comfortable than those offered by Disney. I am not sure what you consider to be "a lot of money" for a room, however you can usually find a good deal at one of the seven hotels. http://www.downtowndisneyhotels.com/
This link will provide you with information on these hotels.
I would also suggest using Hotwire http://www.hotwire.com/ this site will allow you to find hotels in a certain neighborhood such as downtown Disney, and provide some great deals. The only problem with Hotwire is that you will not know the name of the hotel until you agree to reserve a room. I have used this site several times and have gotten a nice room for an exceptional price.

As far as buffet's go... we tend to avoid them, however for a delicious meal at a very reasonable price, we frequently go to the Macaroni Grill which is just outside of the Downtown Disney area.

I have to say I am not a Ponderosa fan. However, I absolutely love the one's in the Disney area. Not expensive and a huge selection of food.

As for a hotel-- we've stayed in quite the variety of off-site properties in all price ranges. If it's for 1 night- then it will widen your choices. As there are many hotels/motels that are okay for a night or two (clean and modern but lacking in amenities).

I would suggest looking via some of the discount sites first. Try places like www.hotelkingdom.com for some decent deals. Really search around and check some of the hotels own sites--- somtimes you can get a better deal that way.

We love hitting the Golden Corral for one of our meals on our day off from the parks. Yum!!!
