Holy Mother of God!!! Is anyone else as freaked out by those dolls as I am??

They seriously look like they belong in Chucky's Death Doll Army. I get re-purposing things but sometime trash is just trash. No way would they come in my house-you don't know what's on them, where they've been or anything else. It looks like someone practiced their torturing skills on them.

I don't think I'll be sleeping tonight, thankyouverymuch.

As a kid, I had a toy fire truck and it used batteries which I just left in there and tossed everything in my toybox. Then one day there was dark brown dried liquid everywhere--battery acid, I guess? Anyway, the brown spots on those dolls remind me of what a lot of my toys looked like. :(

I have no idea why those dolls have brown bodies. Could they have tried to paint them to make them match??

Sorry, but I'd trash them also. *shivers*

Chucky's Death Doll Army?? :rotfl:

Now I'll be thinking of those old Twilight Zone episodes. No sleep for me either!

the brown is only on the surface and runs right off. The inside is bright white, as shown in pictures, and the brown was on some clothing but a little Oxi-clean and bleach has them looking brand new.

You said the dark brown runs right off, but you posted the "after cleaning" pictures on page 3 and the torsos are still a very dark mottled brown? They aren't skin color like they should be. :confused3 Did you clean the torsos or not?

There would be no reason to try to paint the Felicity doll since her body was only made in a tan color cloth that matched her head, arms and legs.

This thread has made me so disgusted and thankful I bought DD new AG bitty twin dolls. DH said no used and I thought he was being a little ridiculous, but now I see you never know what condition a doll may have been in.

Due to this thread, I emailed my mom to get me and my sister's Molly and Samantha dolls out from the early 90's. I need to make sure they are not poo'ed on or eaten.

What's the best way to store AG dolls?

ETA: I have no idea if someone would buy them for parts...maybe, but I'm sure they wouldn't pay much. There is no way I would pay $20 for a doll in this condition to use an eyeball or whatever.

no I did not clean the torso's. I didn't want them soaked through so I left them alone. I only know the color runs because they got somewhat wet while I was rinsing the paste off of the vinyl parts. The darkest torso you see in the pictures is because it is mostly wet.

Okay that clears up that question.

Actually I think they would scare Chucky, so I take back my Chuckys Death Doll Army. I think they'd be part of the Army that would take over Chucky.

And there was something very wrong with the first picture of the dolls in the bag with the coil of rope next to them. That just has Dateline written all over it.

Seriously OP, there are a ton of other things I think you could probably sell. Clothes kids outgrow, etc.

They're icky, throw them away.

No! Don't throw them away - just advertise them as Jonathan Coulton Creepy Dolls and someone would buy them. I've seen people take all sorts of scary dolls to Coulton shows and these are way worse than any I've seen so far. :rotfl: He does a song called "Creepy Doll" that sounds like it was written about these dolls, especially the one with the messed up eye.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgfklKnOg4w - Here's a video for the song, but it would be much better (and scarier!) if it had one of the OP's dolls in it!:lmao:

:rotfl::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Surely, you jest.

There is still a slight spot on the shirt but not noticeable right away.

I think the clothes are sellable, (after cleaning,) but not the dolls.

I haven't started them yet. It's a slow work in progress in between the chaos that is my life right now.

went to my mother's the other day and one of the "affluent" neighborhoods I drove through had a house that had put out a lot of stuff for the trash the next morning. Driving by, I noticed a doll on top and immediately thought it looked like an American Girl doll. Did a quick turn around and pulled up next to it. Made my DD13 get out to check it and read the back of the head and it said Pleasant Company on the back. I got out to check since she was upset about looking at someone else's trash and we found 3 more dolls, all with the same writing.

Also in one of the containers was a pile of clothing for the dolls.

The dolls were dirty and the clothes were too. Nothing that can't be cleaned by me outside of the torn bodies on two of the dolls that will cost me $35 to get replaced at the doll hospital.

Now, I don't want to keep them. I plan on selling them for some Christmas money. I don't know how much to charge ? As far as I can tell, these are pre-1996 dolls, one is Felicity Merriman.

I think the others are - Kirsten Larson, Samantha Parkington, and Molly McIntire

I have some dresses and stuff that are in great shape including both of felicity's meet and greet(?) dresses. They are both clean with no stains or marks.

I have no clue what to price them at ? Do I sell them first and let them get sent to the hospital by the new owner (for the two with ripped torso's) so they can have them back in time for Christmas ? It would take 3-4 weeks for repairs and if I sold them first then it would be on them to get them sent out in time to repair it. Do I sell the clothing separately ? Piece by piece ? Outfits together of course.

Also some of the outfits are definitely 80's. Big bright colors, lots of neon and patterns, even on the ski's, ski boots, and roller skates. Even the cast that has crutches with it it neon yellow with pink and blue.
